In a time when mankind has reached the stars in the heavens, and human evolution has diverged, many flock to new planets in search of adventure, profit, or a new place to call home.
On Saturn's moon Titan there lies one of the first failed experiments in mankind's quest to conquer all of the Sol system.
The arcology on Titan was named Juno, often referred to as the floating city because it hovers atop Titan's thick atmosphere.



Once thought to be abandoned, recently there has been an SOS distress signal from Juno.
Earth's governments have all vetoed a governmentally funded rescue mission.
You are part of a renegade military operation to explore the fallen city looking for survivors.

SIMPLE CHARACTER CREATION:

To create your renegade soldier, first, assign your 30 points amongst the following Primary attributes.

Primary attributes:
(NOTE: You may not exceed 10 points in any Primary attribute before racial modifiers. The minimum for each attribute is 1.)
STR: Strength, melee damage and carrying capacity.
DEX: Dexterity, ability to aim both ranged and melee attacks.
VIT: Vitality, mostly just hit points.
SPD: Speed, how far you can move.
STL: Stealth, your ability to hide from enemies.
OBS: Observation, your ability to see hiding enemies and how far you can see.

Second, choose a race and hair style/color from the following.



HUMAN: +6 starting points to Primary attributes.(NOTE: Still max of 10)
ANDROID: +2 DEX, +2 OBS, can't eat, regenerate HP and stamina.
TENAX: + 2 STR, +2 VIT, four arms.
PARVA: +2 SPD, +2 STL, stealth is easier.

Third, choose a gender.



Male or Female.

Fourth, choose a distinctive feature.

This can be anything that makes a character visually distinct.
Be creative!

ADVANCED CHARACTER CREATION:

To create your renegade soldier, first, assign your 30 points amongst the following Primary attributes.

Primary attributes:
(NOTE: You may not exceed 10 points in any Primary attribute before racial modifiers. The minimum for each attribute is 1.)
STR: Strength, your melee damage is a random number from 1 to your STR (1dSTR).
DEX: Dexterity, your ability to hit your opponents is determined by your DEX + a random number from 1 to your DEX (DEX + 1dDEX).
VIT: Vitality, your ability to resist damage is based on 2 x your VIT.
SPD: Speed, your movement speed is equal to your SPD. In a turn you must expend one movement to pick up loot, use a point of interest, use an inventory item, and open or close a door.
STL: Stealth, your ability to avoid being seen is equal to your STL.
(STL is treated as -4 when attacking, -1 per 2 spaces moved in a turn, -2 for using a door, item, or point of interest, and +1 for each two squares away. If you are unseen you deal triple damage.)
OBS: Observation, how far you can see is determined by 2 x your OBS. Whether you can see an enemy or not is based on OBS.

Secondary attributes:
(NOTE: You do not directly add starting points to your Secondary attributes, they are determined otherwise.)
LEVEL: Level is a display of your overall power, when you level up (see below) gain 3 points to add to your Primary attributes.
ARM: Armor is determined solely by armor worn, and reduces damage taken by ARM.
HP: Hit Points are determined by 2 x VIT, if you are reduced to 0 HP then you have been slain.
STAM: Stamina is equal to your VIT, spend 1 for 1 damage or 1 movement, you may spend as many as you want per turn.
DIST: Firing Distance is determined by DEX + OBS, this is how far away you can shoot an enemy from.
EXP: Experience is gained by slaying enemies, you will increase LEVEL on maximum EXP, your EXP will reset when you increase your level, your maximum EXP is determined by 10 x your LEVEL.
DODG: Dodge is your ability to avoid enemies' attacks, determined by SPD + STL.
CART: Carrying Capacity is determined by 10 + (2 x STR), and determines how many items you can carry.

Second, choose a race and hair style/color from the following.

HUMAN: With soft flesh ranging from ebony to ivory, these beings are self-bred to closely resemble the Humans of the past.
Humans may distribute 6 additional points to their starting Primary attributes(Which still can not exceed 10).
ANDROID: These metallic beings were originally created to mimic the human form while retaining the advantages of a machine.
Androids gain a +2 bonus to DEX, a +2 bonus to OBS, cannot eat, an additional slot: the Port slot, and they regenerate 1HP and 1STAM per turn.
TENAX: This Human sub-race was artificially created as an elective genetic modification that gives the subject multiple stronger limbs.
Tenax gain a +2 bonus to STR, a +2 bonus to VIT, and two additional slots: hand3 and hand4.
PARVA: This smaller sub-race of humans is the natural evolution of the humans who colonized and migrated to Mars long ago.
Parva gain a +2 bonus to SPD, a +2 bonus to STL, suffer no stealth penalty for moving, and can use items and open doors without expending movement or gaining a stealth penalty.

Third, choose a gender.

It costs one movement to pick up loot, use points of interest, use inventory items, and open or close doors.
You can move once per turn and attack once per weapon per turn. An attack can happen at any time during your turn.
If attacking more than once in a turn get -2 to hit (if tenax, only -2 if 3 or more attacks).
Ranged damage is determined by weapon, melee damage is determined by 1dSTR.
You can only interact with a door, point of interest, dropped item, or inventory item once per turn.

After character creation this adventure is going to follow standard adventure format, you know, > Name self, > Do a silly thing, > Advance plot, etc.
One deviation from the standard formula is that the movement and combat and stuff have more solid rules, but if you want to, you can still just command a character like normal without going into technical details.
