Thread: Grand Fishknights of Oceania (GAME OVER- Scum and Survival Third Parties WIN)

  1. #251

Re: The Grand Fishknights of Oceania - DAY ONE: Fanfare, Fish and Ropework

Yeah I was referring to the fact that he lays off sea for meta reasons then warns him not to rely on meta.

That's what I thought. I only realized it happened after you pointed out really I kinda derped there, I'm just really tired. I still maintain sea's suspicious just not /as/ pressing as Jacq issue right now. When I said "you" in the quote I meant people trying to defend her with meta as well as herself and I didn't proofread /sigh

    Let me just rewrite this:
Seastorm should not be defended with more meta.
Seastorm is still suspiciousy but I'd like Jacq to explain his predicaments at a more pressing rate.

Fair enough, if you still think he's suspicious.

Jac is heavily suspicious, but I am also incredibly suspicious of our good pal X, who ignored all posts that didn't deal with him when he tried to "summarize" the day until his post.

Won't be active until after a few hours. But there was one thing that caught my eye.

Now please tell me why the hell you're so closely buddying Ssjt.

So answer my question, Sinjin, and don't make unfounded assumptions.
    Ahahaha. Ha. Ha...
    Vote: GenetiXientist

Tell me what I did that counts as buddying.

Re: The Grand Fishknights of Oceania - DAY ONE: Fanfare, Fish and Ropework

    Gladly.

In post #207, your opinions to answer my questions, aside from blatantly changing one of them to the point where it was nigh useless for the purpose I have it for (it's not analysis on its own, I have a reason for it,) tend to attack anyone who looked at Ssjt funny. Mainly me. Along with this, I have strong belief that a connection exists due to the simple fact that you mention her name as a person I slight by...actually, I'm honestly not sure what the hell you think I did. If it was asking a question you weren't prepared to answer, then I take all responsibility. If it was actually thinking and trying to use the fact that I tend to think in terms of manipulating statements and "evidence" to slant the opinion of others (i.e. I think like scum) to attempt to analyze responses similar to one I would give (as the results of Q3 apply) or one which retroactively incriminates, then I honestly think you should, not to mince words, shove it. I'm trying to actually help out, and if that's disagreeable to you, then you probably should pick a game involving less cooperation with others, like solitaire.

Now then, on to your latest post.

Stating that you are buddying another player based on my current observation is far, far different than assuming someone else "made a mistake."

One involves interpreting data collected in thread through a statement that is always subjective; buddying is, despite my intentions to make it a form of role power in a mafia idea I had literally 5 seconds ago as I write this word here, a non-objective statement. The need to "prove" it is a false dilemma, because it doesn't need proof, only sufficient evidence to support the statement in the eyes of others.

    EVENT

The Fishknights experience a feint rumbling beneath the decks of their council room. Within minutes, it subsides. Something big must be moving.

    Ok, so.

FoS to acio and (to a much lesser extent), sotek.

Acio please explain your townreads of x1372 and Sotek.

My vote is still on x1372, and i'm keeping it there. I'm much more happy with his lynch then the jac lynch (i dont really see whats so scummy about the latter), altho i dont mind a ssjt lynch so much, and potato panic is looking off, too. I think my preference for lynch today goes x1372 > PP > ssjt

I did indeed. Did you read the posts accompanying his or just his? I ask because most of his posts were in RVS and slightly post-RVS where there is very little to go on... and i still think he contributed a decent amount (i mean, sure, not the best ever, but nowhere near the worst either). To be fair, if his posts had been in any other stage of the game he'd prolly be lynched for them, but i think its important to be aware of the current state of the game.

That is also a reason i sorta-dislike acio (the FoS but not willing to lynch), because imo if he'd read the accompanying posts rather then just jac's, he'd not have as strong an opinion as he currently does. Hell, look at my post history, its MUCH worse then jac's!

Meanwhile, we have people who've slipped under the radar (me as a prime example), and people who are sorta being ignored (x1372) and still others who are jumping on a bandwagon for the sake of jumping on a bandwagon (PP). Let me rephrase a little, its not so much that i think jac is towny (i dont, he's honestly pretty null to me), but that so many other people are scummy.

Re: The Grand Fishknights of Oceania - DAY ONE: Fanfare, Fish and Ropework

All right reading this game is painful and it makes me want to set random objects on fire but really.
    GenetiX's questions.

1: Who would you most like to have their role revealed right now? (No this is not me claiming oracle)
How has no one said enm yet?
Why am I the only one that feels that this looks like an attempt to gambit like the high rollers do?

I'm at the point in which it is beyond my capabilities to elaborate further without being unnecessarily snarky and probably also insulting, so I will abstain from doing so for the sake of civility.
I'll just leave it at that I find his unsolicited D1 claim iffy.

And that was not a vote for "1: Who would you most like to have their role revealed right now? (No this is not me claiming oracle)".
I don't want the same misunderstanding with regards to format that happened in CyF to happen here.

I'm honestly not surprised if Acio is actually Davy Jones.

Also holy shit the Jac bandwagon. THE JAC BANDWAGON.

Gene: Forgive me but isn't Mafia a game where you plant seeds of doubt to the opposing team? I'm just kind of paranoid. Anyway the fact i see your reactions as some sort of panicky thing i just... don't know. I honestly can't see what part of 207 was buddying with seastorm since: Mega was a obvious supsicion and ~ATH is just... I don't know. What is it that i don't like about him? His aggressiveness? That was my lowest priority scumread.

Inox: Maybe it's because people are being careful not to trigger too many suspicions since he was so obvious.

Not particularly and not today. Tell me acio, why do you not answer my question? (it is rather simple!)

(also, id like your thoughts on my following post here i addressed dini's concerns - after all, they are simply thoughts and i could very easily be wrong.

I will not answer that question

I will answer the one about dini though sort of I halfway cannot see what you're asking unless it's "why jacque" and the answer I do not bloody care

"Other people are scummy" does not detract from jacque being scummy. He is the one I desire to lynch and you are treading damn close to "there's not enough!" territory

Re: The Grand Fishknights of Oceania - DAY ONE: Fanfare, Fish and Ropework

oh no, im not saying that there's not enough on jac. I have no particular care if he is lynched or not, to be honest. Its more one of them "This is my preferred lynch and this is why" kinda things. Sure, i can kinda see why you might find jac scummy, but he's... well, not scummy enough to be my favourite lynch. Meantime i thought id explain my preferred ones.
