let's ... try to ignore the survivor until we're at like a day short of mylo, shall we?
And, you know. Hunt scum. And just ... oh god why a survivor claim![]()
ENM: I hate to be rolefishy already (haha), but what's your wincon/do you leave when you win/etc etc.
@Seastorm: Final 6
SHOOT IT
This isn't the first time I wished I was a dayvig.
Anyways, since this asshole apparently gets more power with votes, I think just completely ignoring him is the best course of action here. This means no voting for him.
Unless...
Think we can just pile votes on him? But it would be a waste of a lynch...
ATH, stop poking the survivor.
Yes he can be lynched, yes he probably gets something with some votes on him (I'm assuming a BP if he reaches softlynch or whatever then isn't lynched) but
just
don't do anything. ignore him. he is a waste of time now.
Why would we want to make him immortal?
He's killed his chance of winning the game now so he's harmless and not worth voting for
As much as I'd love to see him dead though, can we not vig him tonight if we have one?
Distracting as he may prove to be, we might want to keep the fact that there is a vig (if there is a vig) under wraps until you can do more than kill one now-pointless third party
Or maybe I'm overthinking this due to how much the combined vig and serial killer screwed us over in RCF3 when I was scum, I don't know

seastorm, right now, you are trying your hardest to turn on my shipper's instinct and ship you and Sinjin together.
Because that is the most beautiful display of buddying + chainsaw defending I have ever seen.
Also:
Okay no you did not just do that.
Post #137: Sinjin is the towniest I've ever seen him be! (eg: townier than in the other games)
Post #143: Sinjin is playing the same in this game as he did in other games.
Once again, can I just say that following meta does not instantly make a person town, and it never should.
If a person's meta is "always acts scummy" then he's scummy. Therefore, you should lynch it.
Honestly, I wasn't feeling all that strongly against Sinjin, but you've reassured my suspicions. As well as given me a glaring scumread on you.
#130 much, ~ATH?
And yeah, I'm going to go based on meta when it's day one and we're just out of RVS, and the person in question has made all of two posts.
I voted you because I thought you were jumping really quickly on him when the vote kind of really looked like it was RVS.
And you blowing up on me isn't making me feel much better.
Also: #137 I meant that he was giving me the strongest townread I've had in a while. As in, anyone in general. #143 is yes, he's playing the same as in other games.
I think you are falling into the trap of "Disagrees with me = scummy"
Whether you like the fact that someone is using meta or not, it does not add additional scumpoints over the fact that they are defending someone
Buddying can be a possible thing, buddying with meta that you don't like is not more of a thing than buddying for other reasons

hmm. Yeah, Jac, but the two posts ATH quoted ... kiinda has a point there? even with seastorm's explanation it's fishy.
Like, if a guy you've seen as once scum and once town (that is correct, yeah? That's the impression I've gotten, anyway) is playing the same as in the other two games ... that's /scummier than average/, not /the towniest player in the game/, what the hell.
Oh my god I should be clearer with my posts.
I have seen Sinjin play town only. My point about TVfia was that it's difficult to play scum the same way as you play town, because I was scum in that game and I kind of failed at it. Sinjin is playing the same way as he plays town.
Towniest read I have? Well...
List of people in the game:
List of people who I could possibly read (have played other than RVS):
Said list in town --> scum
Minus meta
So it's less, he's extremely towny, and more, based on how he's previously played, I think he's town, but otherwise he's null. Which I think, considering that I feel like we're still kind of in no evidence mode, is perfectly fine.
You and Jacq are both towny, but I'm more paranoid about you guys playing scum extremely well.
I suppose if I want to be completely consistent, though, I should probably switch my Vote: to MegaRock
So much hate for meta. I guess I can't be blatantly suspicious in RVS without everyone going after me but I guess it does help in catching possible scum. As usual my reads are almost all neutral except for a few points of interests.
~ATH: Aggressive. However I have yet to see if this is town aggressiveness or scum aggressiveness so.. eh.
El Ninja Monkey: Unless this is some genius gambit that involves everyone ignoring him then I can't think of ANY reason for this guy to be scum. Maybe SK or Jester? Jester incredibly unlikely unless it's a jester that activates some sort of final boss.
seastormjt: You have to admit you are relying a bit too much on meta. I might have my eyes on you.
MegaRock35: Gut says scum. I don't like trusting my gut. But still I find the readwall a bit uninformative except for the Namboto section.
Hey mega it's been roughly 2.5ish days since daystart (basing on timestamps) don't say I've 'dropped out'
Also, did Mega just say that both Sotek and Acio (the people voting him) had justified votes? And then saying x1372 was town on the basis of trying to scumhunt and asking questions? wtf? (I also didn't like his readwall but it wasn't really a lot to go on tbh)
Vote: Mega
(Also Seastorm you might want to color your future reads so they aren't 'wait is he calling me light town or null?' like I did for 5 minutes until I realized durp.)
[22:22:11] <TwoPrimes> in my eyes, scum usually votes first
...What?
No. I'm not fuckin' doing it. They're being reta
What
Oh
FINE.
Fine, I'll say something, but don't expect any grandstanding.
So uh not trucking with pretty much anyone right now because you're all being absurd
but Jacquerel you like to talk and debate with people without actually y'know laying down votes or hunting or anything useful.
Well, it turns out that, unlike what I thought, I am not, in fact, a third party, though my role is more than a bit...esoteric for town. I trust in Solaris and Amos, but, well, this is a very odd one.
Therefore, I think I should probably open my mouth.
Okay, from what I can tell so far, the players from the newbie game are in a world of their own, with Seastormjt defending Sinjin as if her life depended on it, Jac is attacking X who is asking right/wrong answer questions, while Sotek does something in the background. Mega is half-assing his reads, and being called on it by Crilly. also WATTS!
Ok, so I don't like seastormjt at all.
Answer these questions (everyone else answer after seastormjt) :
1: Who would you most like to have their role revealed right now? (No this is not me claiming oracle)
2: Why?
3: Find 3 scumreads, no matter how unfounded (but don't just make them up.) Post them, explanation optional.
4: Thoughts on Sotek, X and Jac.
Crilly: I /think/ what mega means is that I've been providing justifications for my votes. I think. Not that I am right to vote him, but that I have arguments.
... I mean I'm not shifting my vote right now. but still.
So I've been thinking about those questions
I mean sure, it gives everyone an idea about how you play
but everyone includes scum
and if a power role answers them in a way that suggests that they're a power role well...
So I guess what I'm saying is that, ultimately, they're counterproductive for town, especially in a game where there's a few newer players. (On the other hand, cautious scum is unlikely to answer the questions for fear of slipping, and brave scum is going to answer them in order to try and look townier)
Oh, and megarock, I said useless night one and not too useful afterwards (but fun, nonetheless).
also, c/d/v just 'cause
Cop: I'd like to see how x or Jac flips, as it would give insight into the other. They're probably not co-aligned.
Doc: still a little early to tell, but try and stop the bullet from hitting a leader.
Vig: also a little early, but if someone's still lurking by the end of today, shoot 'em
sig quotes I guess? (one of them)
ok i've caught up
ENM, I'm sorry, but A) voting for yourself on D1, B) mentioning what your role does and C) trying to get people to vote for you, is NOT a good strategy/gambit, especially for a third party. You just essentially outed yourself from obtaining w/e your role actually does.
Sinjin, an RVS is an RVS. If you happen to vote on someone with a vote already on them, then w/e. But when you deliberately try to vote for someone to avoid a bandwagon during RVS, that makes you look scummy.
It's OK to be suspicious, but when you're being suspicious when there's nothing suspicious going on, that makes you look suspicious. (Sorry if that didn't make sense.)
Mega, just because X is asking questions, doesn't mean it's scum hunting. Just sayin'.
Speaking of questions, X, your last question (town's dead set on lynching you, how do you benefit from this) is kind of assuming that the lynchee has some way to benefit from being lynched. As in, the lynchee may have some sort of power or wincon that activates on death/lynch, like a bomb or a jester for example. Because otherwise, I wouldn't think there's a way to being lynched if you're a normal town or scum or w/e.
This is kinda offtopic, but would anyone here happen to be paranoid?

Your chumHandle also is vividInferno and you like to sprak io a notma; tpnr.
WateryHell: Actually, there's a lot of things you can do as a vanilla townie or even as a cop to benefit from being lynched. Or uh, maybe it'd be better to say: there's a lot of things you can do, on any faction, to minimize the /harm/ of being lynched.
Sotek to X: "Stop being you"![]()
Incidentally mega, the thing about "high chance of being scum" blah de blah de blah was based on the fact that most of the time no one pays a damn bit of attention to someone that I aggro in RvS and, confirmation bias nonwithstanding, they've ended up being scum quite a few times.
I'm not really sure on mega either way yet. The answers he gave to my questions initially suggest more of a newb bias than anything else. I'd like to hear more of his thoughts on things as the game continues before I consider moving my vote.
Jac, seriously. If someone asks a question to another player, save your commentary on it until AFTER the question has been answered. The only reasonable exception is if you believe that its a scummy question that shouldn't be answered. If you think a question is bad or useless, that's fine. Say that after its been answered by its intended recipient.
ENM... ... ... wat.
Watery, please answer the other questions from the list for you. And if you can't think of anything at all to try to make town go in the right direction after your mislynch... hnngh.

Incidentally, my Cop/Doc/Vig aint what they normally would be in this game, funnily enough.
