Anger - You start disagreeing with someone about whether said character will be revived, how stupid there death was, what the plot twist means, what the answer to the mystery is, how the mechanic works, and/or how hilarious the self insert was.
Bargaining - Everyone agrees to disagree and begins making crackpot theories and going off on wild tangents.
Vriska - The Flying Orange becomes related to the update in some inane way right before the big derails start.
Depression - After the discussion has been seriously derailed, people begin talking about how their discussion has once again left the station and took a turn too tight into trainwreck valleyway, where the valleyway is the off-topic, and the trainwreck is you. Proceeds to talk about how depressing it is we haven't got another update and how we've descended to talking about this, and or talking about the discussion itself.
Acceptance - Ooh look update.
