Why do people still think that Calmasis from Roxy's Mom's books represented uu? At this point, it's pretty obvious that the same-body theory is true, and Calmasis was the characterization of BOTH UU and uu. That's why s/he was so androgynous. It's not that either UU or uu are androgynous on their own, but, being a male and a female, when they are represented as the same person, androgyny is the logical conclusion.

Thus, uu's name will most likely not be Calmasis, but something else that ends in -masis to better match up with the beginning being derived from Calliope.

Oh I definitely agree with the same body theory, and you're probably right about -masis, but I just think the idea of uu's name being Calmasis is there.

The poster depicts the notorious chess match between Calmasis and Zazzerpan. Zazzerpan had a reputation for being unbeatable. He had never lost a match, even to the gods. But his apprentice was able to beat him in the wizard's duel by first becoming checkmated, and through some unprecedented enchantment, continuing to play beyond the death of the king.

Then again, UU's name didn't wind up being Zazzerpan, so I don't know.

Let's try to find more patently obvious things that we can "call", forcing Hussie to either rewards us by silently acknowledging that we did indeed solve a hell of a mystery that wasn't even a mystery before the solution that wasn't a solution but a mostly redundant clarification was posted, or just add another shitty twist to the growing pile while shaking his head in sadness and pity at both us and himself, knowing that today we all made Homestuck just a tiny bit more shitty. Together. On the bright side, if we fail and it's actually not something obvious, it means there's a non-zero chance that we might just simply be plain old wrong, eliminating any need for making the webcomic resemble a pile of metaphorical feces.

the first UU revelation didn't make the same-body theory less probable. They were still going to change blood colour, so a few changes in appearance wouldn't have been a big deal.

I've never been a fan of that idea, but I think it's very likely at this point.

The chain Calliope is going to put on is one only she can take off.

If shared body theory happens, it means that when Calliope becomes uu, then uu can only take off the chain that restrained them to Calliope's side, meaning he's stuck on his side.

If she didn't put on the chain, uu could just take off Calliope's restraint and do wahtever.

Calliope would likely have full control over their body, leaving uu stuck as his dreamself on Derse. If it were to happen the other way around, Calliope would likely be trapped in the dream bubbles since her dreamself is dead.
