San Diego Comic Con - July 12th - 15th
cosplay is not only welcome, it is encouraged. Feel free to completely swamp this thing with Homestuck characters. Let's outnumber all the storm troopers, animes and Spider Men combined. We will show up on the news under the headline, "COMIC CON RUINED FOREVER: HOMESTUCK OFFICIALLY REPLACES STAR WARS." I give you my blessing to make this happen, and reserve the right to renounce all personal responsibility.

I'll have specific signing times for both events, but I don't know exactly when those times will be yet! I will let you know when I do.

No updates on SDCC since then, but there is still a few weeks to go.

Is anyone attending this year? Are there any plans for a meet-up?

I will! I had a lot of fun at the meetup last year (http://www.mspaforums.com/showthread...PM-BALLROOM-20) and I was hoping to help get the ball rolling on a meetup this year, especially with The Huss being in attendance and all.

If there is going to be a meetup, they are usually bent around the time of events that people within the fandom usually want to go to and the consensus of whatever day works for people. I'd say wait until Hussie gives word on exactly what days/times he'll be at con (if we can rope him into attendance) and until the programming schedule is up. However posting early is good because it gets the event on people's radars and helps generate interest and get people involved!

So to answer your question, yes, and I hope so.

I'll be there on Friday and Saturday. This'll be my first year at Comic-Con and I'd really like to attend a meetup!

Friday sounds pretty good to me, simply for the fact that Saturday is always the busiest day out of the 4 (And I'd hate to miss the annual Futurama panel).

I plan on going as Wayward Vagabond, but I'm not sure yet.

We met up in the outdoor corridor next to the Sails Pavilion and took a walk down to the park next to the trolley station because there were so many of us and the concrete was uncomfortable. We should totally do that again because then any lurky homestucks who are in the area but don't have passes could join us.

There is going to be a meetup on FRIDAY JULY 13th at 3:00 PM in Children's Park across the street from the convention center and Mariott Marina. There's a large circular fountain and behind that is a grassy area with lots of trees and park tables. That is where we are meeting.

I'm actually glad it's at that place. It's such a memorable spot to hang around at after getting away from the hustle-bustle vibe of the convention center, and will provide a great backdrop for picture that end up getting taken.

Awesome! Anyone who went to a meetup last year will hopefully remember that as where we met the year before. If you didn't, from the convention center, go straight across the street, and walk to the left (north). The pool fountain is the most visible part of it but the park itself is behind that.

Does anyone know if Hussie has confirmed a date for autographs? I tried looking on the autograph page, but I didn't see his name there...

Yeah, I checked for that too and couldn't find anything. Last year, there was a Topato Co booth, so he may set up shop there, BUT THIS IS JUST A GUESS. We'll just have to wait for an official announcement from him on Twitter or from a news post.

Important information for San Diego Comic Con bound Homestucks!

Liz made a great point in saying that we ought to have a gathering each day in order for everyone to have a chance to come by and say hello! Were doing this because we realize that people will be lining up for panels or being busy in general (that and were not sure when Hussie has his signings scheduled so were leaving room for that to be taken into account as well).

The peeps setting up the Homestuck gathering posted this on Tumblr. Apparently there is going to be a meet up everyday at that spot. They didn't specify what time, so I assume it's 3pm everyday. I'll probably only attend the Friday one though.
