MSPApp - A MSPA Update Notifier and Comic Interface

Sup everyone. Just wanted to stop by and say that I am currently developing an iOS app that will deliver update notifications straight to your iOS device! But that's not all it will do! Its called MSPApp and it will be finished when it is ready.

Obviously you will not be able to view flashes because Apple/Flash sucks. May embed Youtube links to flashes, but will display an error if you select a game type.

THIS IS VERY ALPHA. MORE INFO COMING LATER.

• Thats pretty much it.

All that this is intended to do is basically be like MSPANotify for iPhone.

After some feedback, I will most likely be working on a separate app for Pesterchum for iOS. That will take some work. A lot of work. At that point, I may roll update notifications into the Pesterchum app instead. We'll see.

What I do is check the RSS feed periodically. It's slower than the actual update time, but it'll update at the same time as this app will, so. :P

I'll probably still go with the optimized UI (for speed sake), but add in an option to disable it and use the WebView. As for the alarm, I am working on the Push Notification server now.

And to be honest, I don't care about the UI. I dunno about everyone else, but I would just use it as a notifier and probably never even open the app itself.

When it is ready. No earlier and no later than that.

You see, I want the opposite of that. I want people to open the app when the notification comes in and be able to read the latest (non-flash) update. In the case of multiple updates, the user would be presented with the oldest one first, so they are not spoiled. More on this as I fix bugs with the base code.

Just an update on this for all of you...

I have the push notification server working and the feed monitor working. Need to iron out a few bugs with the UI and it should be good to go. The custom UI is out for the first release. I will also have to wait until Apple offers an alternative to use of the UDID as a device identifier, because it is deprecated and they are rejecting new apps that use it. More screenshots will be up when I get home.

Just an update for everyone: Yes I am still working on it. I had to wait for Hussie to update to test my code.
Testing is complete and I discovered the last few bugs to squash. This should be available soon.
