So I can't seem to find myself obsessing over this album, but I think that's normal for me. I do like the new Midnight Crew song, though. I think we were long overdue for a new, more modern version, and there's no way you could count that acapella version as more modern. (Although it vaguely irks me that Bowman says "I spend my every evening" and not "I always spend my evening". That sort of thing is really just a pet-peeve of mine though, not a real problem or anything.)

So, finally got through the whole album; only disliked 'Game Grl', 'Post-punk midnight crew' and 'Encore!' but, 3/49 isn't bad at all.

The 'I'm only 13" was a joke. Dirk percieves AR as thirteen, but AR is just as old as he is.

And we're kind of just splitting hairs on the age thing there -- it doesn't seem to matter all that much.

I see your point, and I don't disagree, but I'm not certain you completely grasp mine.

They are not 'growing up to sixteen' in two separate environments.

Up to the point where thirteen-year-old Dirk scanned his brain, they were one being.

Depending on when Dirk developed, he could have been most of the way through puberty by then, or he could have not started.

They aren't as similar as to be the same person, but they aren't so different that they don't share a great portion of the same history.

AR's priorities are certainly different than Dirk's, seeing has he has no real physical body, but they do share some of the same goals.

I don't think it is, really. For something that is both a thinking entity that doesn't age biologically, the only real way to define its age is the span of the memories stored within it.

That's almost sixteen years of memories, therefore AR is almost sixteen. Just like Dirk.

Information and memories are not the same thing. A true AI -- like is represented in AR -- is not the same thing as an encyclopaedia.
