I'll probably continue to flipflop every which way. I'm trying to keep a lack of consistency established as the style so I can do these variations without it looking too out-of-place.
But Katia is not Pony enough to defeat enemies with the power of friendship!
(just kidding, cute picture and idea)
Surely there is nothing racist about depicting her as a mindless animal to be ridden.
You monster.
Hey, your sword is right over there! Pick it up and give it a good swing!

Good lord, we're home.
Where it all began.
There is only one course of action available to us.
Jump on the bed.
You there, with the missing tooth! There's toys on the shelf. Play with them!! Ooh, is that a plush guar under the window? Give it a cuddle; it'll comfort you.

>Who we assume is the khajiit before Katia was born: look, and move the camera, to see between the two pillars near the fourth wall.
How old are you, young Khajiiti?
What is that on the shelf?
Pick up that sword.
You are a child again Katia...back in your room I presume?
Assuming this isn't just you reliving an old dream you already had:
You're a kid again, before everything went bad. Life hadn't chewed you up and spit you out a billion times and you hadn't made all the mistakes you constantly guilt yourself over. Sure in a second a nasty king may pop up and ruin everything but for just a few minutes, maybe just enjoy being the kid who wanted to play with magic sparklers at the fair.
Stack the bags and grab some toys off the shelf, check under your pillow for money for your lost tooth...
Or grab that wooden sword and have an adventure!
Unless that's your mother calling...
Alternatively:
Jump into bed, start dream within a dream.
(Inception music)
Pick up the lantern and point it twords the other end of the room, get a feel for exactly where you are.
At the same time try and remember if this was a place of your youth, remember katia, memory is the key.
What's that sound down stairs? Investigate.
That's a nice, bright lantern. You can see real well, now! Perhaps you should use it to have a look out through that window. It's not too dark, is it?
Haha, step back if you're smart, you bad guys! She just summoned her magic sword with the power of her mind and gonna beat you sorry butts! Woosh, woosh, SWING!
Alright, alright... how about checking on those boxes over there? Y'know, right next to the... lizard-like plushy?
Oh hey, how are your toys taking the night? Think they're afraid of being that high up on that shelf?
Say... you afraid of high heights? Ever felt a shiver down your spine whenever you dare looking out at the window?
(Whichever of those sentences make it to the next update, I don't really mind. Got my first suggestion into an update tonight, feels life the achievement of the month. ^_^)
Hush now Ja'khajiit, you wouldn't want to wake your parents...
Or worse.
Wow, Katia, you are in a bedroom. Is it yours? Do you recognize it? Regardless, inspect the toys, the guar, and the sword and consider taking them. Also, if you _must_ use your nightvision sometime soon, try to only activate it in the eye you do not use for your Eye of Fear. But don't do that unless you have to, use the lamp for now.

You make it sound like being the player character is the only way for there to be any point. Why? Just getting to value herself as an individual would be an accomplishment. Face her own personal demons and build a quiet little life for herself learning magic. Not being a hero doesn't make your life pointless.
And in concern to the update.
YOUNG KHAJIIT: take stock of your situation - You're in some kind of memory/dream. Your eye still hurts, so this is probably a dream you're having since the whole incident with Sigrid (not sure if you remember her while you're in this dream though) You're missing a tooth, which I don't recall happening in the waking world, so this likely signifies your dream age as that of a child (do khajiit lose and regrow baby teeth?) You seem familiar with your surroundings, so your dream location is likely your room as a child. There is a sword by your bed; grab it, you'll probably be in for a fight before this is all over. Even if it's a toy, in a dream, it may still act real.
Also, your braids are adorable. Make a note to do them back in that style once your hair/mane grows back in as an adult. Very flattering style for the aspiring wizardess/sorceress.

Katia: Softly hum a happy song that your mother sang to you when you were little and needed to go to sleep. Dance a little to it, if it makes you happy.
Be happy, Katia. If you're real good, the Sugar Cat may come down from the Moon and take the tooth you left under your pillow, and leave three septims in its place.
This is how I feel everytime I see an update. Also when Katia casts spells with an Amulet of Silence on (Which is when I made this). That being said, ehem...
[Young Katia] > Normally I would tell you to go straight for the toy sword, but I don't think it's a good idea. I believe there are bad things on their way, bad things that will hurt you if you give them any reason. Whatever you do, don't pick up that toy sword, because it will give them a reason to think you are a threat.
Also, can you not speak? I feel like I could help you better if you spoke to me.
