Yeah, this is right. I bet that in the last five pages of Homestuck, we will be introduced to a new character.Ash, we're waiting for the new thread...

My bet right now is that the last few pages will be a zoom-out to reveal the MSPA Reader reading Homestuck and then: "It begins to dawn on you that reading this webcomic has been a colossal waste of time and that you should have been reading X"

With X pointing to the next adventure.

About the possibilities of a new character coming... I just hope that before a great flashback on A1 universe comes, we will see at least four out of the twelve trolls (like in Act 3-4). We've seen two females, now we will see two males.
