Rose knows that Roxy is her post scratch teen mom and that Jake is young father-grandad harleybert.

They're pretty fucking aware of their post scratch players because Rose explained it.

understanding Prescratch players for Trolls is something new for them I guess.

Terezi doesn't seem to mind but Karkat... I dunno what his deal is.

Maybe he's just trying to blame himself for something again. He made these 12 trolls only to fail, and die, and it's all his fault.

For a second there I was SURE we were going to see the A1 Session like in Hivebent.

Good point! Although if she missed anything important or twisted the story, as soon as she took her hand away from Aranea's mouth there's the possibility of being challenged, although if enough time has gone past there might be no opportunity for Aranea to say much before the meteor passed through and John woke up.

Perhaps Meenah's version of the story is still going to be detailed enough for us, just that she knew Aranea's version might ramble on or get distracted or whatever (I know Aranea has talked about stuff before, but a long story might not be her forte). With any luck we might get some imagery to accompany the narrative and not just a couple of dialoglogs.

There are some A2 Trolls where I just can't imagine their alt!selves being different. The Ψiionic, the Dolarosa, Dualscar, are the ones that come to mind. I still like the idea of A1 Darkleer being called Hornse, and being genuinely enthusiastic about EQUISTRIANISM. Like, getting hoofbeasts to jump over hurdles 'n shit.

Oh thank god that Meenah doesn't want to put up with Aranea's long winded exposition. Though I could totally see the narration saying that, while the kids only have enough time for the quick and dirty version, we have all the time in the world and therefor deserve the whole story. Then we get Hivebent 2: Troll Harder, just to piss us off.
