She didn't want to destroy Dad's car though!

apparently Jane cares more about her father's property than she does about objects of vital importance to a quest that her life may depend on

Jane specifically said she wouldn't get rid of the car. And she obviously has to drive it through LOCAH with Jake like a motherfucking pimp.

Jane is around 15 and a half, and considering that she is the only one of the B2 kids that have lived a relatively normal life she probably has had some experience with driving and may have a permit.

I remembered the intelligent thing I wanted to say.

The grist gutter's "storage bar" thingie. It looks like a genome.

Like, all of those colours look like a gene sequence.
Actually, probably a protein sequence. Do they do those? I'm not really all that in-depth into the biology course I'm taking. If they do protein sequencing, that gutter's storage bar would for sures resemble one of those.

I thought you needed to be sixteen to have a permit. Or even have the right to get your foot on the pedal. At least, that's the most common age. I don't know if it's different in other countries.

Yeah, protein sequencing is a thing. And it's true that the colors match, to some degree.

So I'm guessing a panel of Jane banging her head against the door trying to figure out what to do while saying STUPID STUPID STUPID to herself and ignoring AR's texts and then a transition to Dirk's room. This is definitely the thing that is going to happen and not AR getting easy pickings on Jane's foolishness. Because that's TOO OBVIOUS AND HUSSIE IS A TOTAL TROLL WHO NEVER DOES THE MOST LIKELY THING BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT HE DOES HURRR DURR HURR HURRR

And on that note I am going to bed. Early morning work sucks.

15 1/2 in most of the US means you can get a learners permit. You can drive as long as a parent is with you, basically.

I'm pretty sure it varies from state to state here in the US, but I think it's usually 15 1/2 for a learner's permit and 16 for a license.

Edit: They allow a permit at 15 in Washington, so that's that.

Well, these were some interesting updates. I also missed a post by Andrew? Huh. Well, Jane has just fucked up her quest. Great. Good job Jane. Good job.

Now, she just needs something big to blow open that door.

    Launch the car at it?
To avoid confusion, but not by much ------> 'should have', 'could have', 'might have', 'would have'. Hoo hoo hoo, mm.

Huh. Good to know. Here, it's sixteen if you want to get classes for it, and then you get a period during which you have to drive with someone and after a while you get your permit. We don't make a difference between permit and license.

Okay protein sequences are a thing.

I'm not sure if I was actually thinking of the right thing when I said protein sequence, but the grist gutter's storage does look close enough to a protein sequence for there to be some possibility of it being another biology reference.

I don't even understand why Hussie puts all of these biology references in Homestuck. Like, is it some sort of personal quest of his to basically fuck up every homestuck reader who's taking biology? I basically cannot focus in bio class anymore. "Hey, this looks like the grist gutter's storage bar. Huh, the founder effect sounds like what happens to the winners of Sburb. Are the blood colours of the trolls the result of specific alleles? Are there dominant alleles for troll blood?"
