I know I'm late to the party (that's what you get for having a time zone where you sleep while MSPA is updating and a forum that posts dozens per minute...) but when I saw the update list I thought "he's read everything we said and now he's totally f*cking with us" and then read the first one and said "he's hiding behind the screen... isn't he?" expecting his head to appear over the top in the next frame and then saw the last one, realised it was canon and not a joke, and squealed with delight.

We don't really know, though. Dirk could be around Derse, and that picture of him might just have been an earlier moment. There's no definite timeframe for what happened in that flash.
