Reposting this for the new thread because YOU PEOPLE MUST BE EDUCATED ON THE VINE QUADRANT.

There are three variants of the vine symbol, each relating to the various parties involved in the pairing and the nature of said pairing.
~ The basic symbol, "~", is used in situations where one of the parties is everyone*. (e.g. Vine ~ Everyone)

If both of the parties involved are everyone*, one of two symbols (each representing two vines) are used, depending on the nature of the pairing.
≈ If the feelings felt by one of the parties are not reciprocated, the symbol used is "≈", representing two vines flowing in the same direction. (e.g. Everyone ≈ Nepeta)
∞ If the relationship happens to be mutual, the symbol becomes "∞", representing two vines flowing back and forth. (e.g. Dani ∞ Nepeta)

*everyone, in this situation, happens to mean "everyone".

I mean it's in my sig too but nobody reads sigs.
