Homestuck Anime?!

The publicity thing sounds like something I can do.

A lot of people seem to think that. I'd say it's like voice acting. Everyone can speak, but only a few people can voice act.

I'm still coming up with ways to test someone's ability in this. It'll probably be like an interview to be honest.

That's okay! Like I said (Or implied rather), I don't really mind if I don't get a big job! Anything at all is good enough. So... I guess I am going to wait until you need/want me to do something!

We always have jobs that end up coming up.
For example, publicity wasn't really a thing up until like a week ago. I was the one that managed publicity, mostly (PK and Arlar helped out with the tumblr). I mean, I still am because no one else is on the publicity team, but whatevs. This Homestuck anime thing blew up around the 3rd of July, and we've all had our hands full since then. This publicity team might have only one or two more people. It's not something that's difficult, or time consuming, but it is very important. The more well known we are, the more people will apply, and the more support we have. That's why we're looking for people to do that.

More jobs will probably show up eventually.

You can totally ignore this, but wouldn't a Gurren Lagann style make more sense than Soul Eater? Considering that Hussie seems to like referencing it minorly. And that Kamina is basically a Homestuck character. Although, since basically no one in GL wears glasses I wouldn't really know what to do with John's eyes.

The thing about Gurren Lagann is that it's made by Gainax, and Gainax's animation is pretty damned top-notch (see: Dead Leaves, Panty and Stocking, FLCL), and their style has never been emulated well. Their whole concept of what makes an anime is probably much different than most animation studios.

I meant more along the terms of drawing style, forgetting anything but the black lines. The coloring, shading and such would be hard to emulate, I agree with that.

Edit: I have another question. How are we planning on dealing with Becsprite's speech?

Based on Jade's reaction to Becsprite's speech, I'd imagine it to be more along the lines of the Nazgul-screech, or speaker feedback. Something like that.

I have informed Hanyuudesu about this project. Her musical talents would come in handy for making an original intro song and credits song. Here's hoping she's interested.

In case you don't: http://homestuck.bandcamp.com/track/...ynchronization I think It would be useful to have for a few reasons. Like fight scenes. Any way. Um. This is weird to ask, but Cascade? If that flash is so long, how do you plan on doing it? A whole episode? Or are there any better ideas?

wait so how do we audition if we want to play an instrument?
I'm not sure if it was explained before in one of the other posts, but I could be wrong.

You basically just show us how good you are at playing that instrument. Record yourself playing a song of your choice and send it to our email.

If you did some effects to make a wolf howl sound like that, it would be perfect. And if you like that idea, I think I can handle making it. Meshing it with some unnatural sound or static might help portray it too.
