I'd like to make it very clear that I do not ship CottonCandy just because 'Lesbians are HAWT'. I think that Jane and Roxy have a lot of dynamic and I feel like there is a lot of romantic potential. I ship because I can see x and y together in a romantic setting, and said relationship developing. I do not ship to something just because I find it hot. That is second priority to compatibility. Which I see in Jane and Roxy.

Seconded. Though I am probably a bit more likely to like a ship if it's lesbians. Sorry! That said, it's never the main reason.

Well, yeah. And I do not really think shipping is dumb. But that does seem to be the most popular opinion in these parts. And also most of the people who are obcessed with shipping are really annoying and I try to not act in such a way that I could be associated with those types. I probably already am, but I do not want to make it worse.
As far a chemistry goes, I honestly do not see much besides good friends.
But Dirk/JAke needs a match so that nobody is lonely and sad, and CottonCandy is just too good of a ship name to not use constantly. How ironic that I must match up fictional characters, when such things hold no interest for me personally.

I don't really care what the popular opinions are, I only care about my opinions. The people who associate all shipping with the rabid and obcessive shippers out there are wrong for doing so and should recognize that in a coming of age story, romance is practically a necessity.

Eeeeeh...shipping. I don't do a lot of shipping. Rose/Kanaya, John/Vriska and maybe Dave/Jade (I'm just that indecisive), because I like their interactions. I'm much more invested in probable ships than any others. Roxy/Jane is not really my favorite, but yeah, I guess they have a good dynamic and could possibly end up together, with some big twist on Jane's preferences. Which is pretty unlikely.

I am also more likely to like a ship if it's lesbians. It's easier to relate to.
