Campfire Catastrophe

The Whetlands Campground, a very nice and quaint place, just off the country side. Not very notable, or all that well known outside the local circles, it is exactly what you expect from a campground.

There are the usual wildlife, from the vibrant flora to the curious fauna. The various cabins and tents, with various families scattered around. And of course, the various members of the Scout League preparing for a good old camping trip.

Order 1122 of the American Scouting League, based in the lovely St. Capone's Institution of "Legitimate Business", was on such a camping trip when they would begin a series of very interesting events...

Welcome to Scoutfia!

If you are super familiar with MSPAFIAA HISTORY, you would remember a certain thread that I started back in November 2010, St. Capone's Institution of "Legitimate Business" (School Themed Mafia). It was my first set up and it was absolutely dreadful, covering pretty much every single possible newbie mod error possible. If you were to look at Mspafia History, you would see that if there has been a mistake in mafia's made, I was probably the first to break them! (Well, at least in terms of errors moderators can perform )

Now, this game will have the same amount of players as that game, but a much better set up in regards to numbers and roles and flavor! I mention it however, because of the inclusion of a Gold Star and a Dunce Cap, two semi-random items that were passed along to the players and bestowed various bonus powers. This game will have those too, only en masse.

This game will have a heavy focus on Patches, giftable, tradeable, and receive-able items that will have various effects on the roles and the game! Most of them will be secret, but there are Four Types in particular that should be noted.
Gold Patch: One will be given out every day, at the end of the day, based on the day's proceedings. Day, Day, Day. It is possible to get it more than once.
Silver Patch: This patch will be given out at night! Also possible for multiple times.
Bronze Patch: Every odd day, there will be an election for this patch! This one too.
Wild Patches: Every single day, there will be a secondary condition, a silly game for everyone to play. Winner gets a unique patch! Who knows what they will do! I should have just said that all four of these can be received more than once.

In addition, there will be patches handed out in the night, roles that are effected by patches, and such and such. The emphasis is less on normal mafia proceedings and more on sillylaris shenanigains. Only time will tell if that will horrible backfire, but I will say this. The set up will be balanced as Solaris Balance gets, this means Not Very Vanilla with some Clusterfuck Elements.

03. You have deadlines for night actions and to lynch someone. If I am feeling exceptionally nice I will extend things but most of the time I will just cancel your night action. I will send Private Messages for daystarts.

04. Do not edit posts ever. Quckedits for typo’s or messed up code is fine, but no deleting game content things.

05. Speaking of game content, do not talk about the game outside of your quicktopic. This goes for everyone. If you die, you get one post to say darn and that’s it.

06. In the same vein, don’t post at night either. Not even to tell someone else not to.

08. Look, just don’t be a jerk okay? Most of you will be on a team with most of the other people posting in the thread. Don’t game break, don’t out your scummates, don’t massclaim, don’t copy from PM’s, don’t take being killed or being found suspicious personally. Just be considerate to your fellow players, regardless of alignment.

09. Okay, this is like the third time but I want thirteen rules and I am starting to run out so I’m just going to repeat things. Make this game a friendly environment for your fellow players. This means posting often, posting with content, posting with courtesy to others, and realizing when you might have gone too far. I will prod you if I think you are being detrimental to the state of my game, be it by jerkiness, or if you are being inactive.

10. I swear to god if you fucking criticize my votals three minutes after I put them up I will shiv you.

11. As per usual, the content of my game will be at least a little on the zany side, try to have fun and if you really think that you won’t be able to get through this game with your sanity, give me a message and I’ll try to help you. There will be third parties, there will be crazy shit, no role will be unable to win, though they may be mislead.

12. If you want to be replaced you are going to have to privately tell me. I will ignore in-thread requests. If you have questions about your role, same thing! If you need any help at all that is not related to in-thread scumhunting whatevercrap, just ask!

13. Relax, have fun, and as always, be excellent to each other.

I reserve the right to deny any and all sign ups for any reason at all, no matter how petty. If you played DHIAU then it is possible that I will not allow you to play unless I have some proof of willingness to actually play AND READ THE GOD DAMN THREAD.

Alright three notes!
1) The next bullet-point is able to be completely avoided by signing on as a replacement and missing out on the wonder that is influencing your role!
2) THE FIRST SACRIFICE HAS BEEN CHOSEN. EL NINJA MONKEY. YOU HAVE BEEN THE FIRST VICTIM OF MY NEPOTISM. Because I was less than pleased by you replacing out and then using your power in a situation that may have not warranted it and then you also sort of tried to do something impossible, which gave me an impression that you might not have been reading the thread, I would like you to do me a favor, a test of some sort to make me feel better about having you join in the game, as I would prefer that you just tell me about your thoughts on mafia and this whole mafia community and what you think and all that.
