Jacques greets the charming slime chap with utmost respect.
The slime returns the greeting with equal respectful duties and introduces himself.
The slime man informs Jacques that he is the town's mayor and is often referred to as SIR PETER GELINGTON.
Or just THE MAYOR, if you want.

He would be lifting his hat in salutation right now but he appears to have no arms.

He loves his people and this debacle to impress or perhaps entertain is, frankly, insulting.
You don't even have to see the mood meter drop to know he's mad at your omnipotent antics.

Well that was a rather long trip, wasn't it?
Though not particularly too long from your perspective as you just
took a nap or something until the party arrived in town.
Jacques and Co. have completed their journey to the SLIME MARKET,
located just within the province of THE SLIME KINGDOM.
It appears that the MAYOR has already disbanded from the party to do some... whatever mayors do.
Run towns or something. You don't know. Who cares.

While we're all here, we might as well buy something.
The nearby SHOPKEEPER looks at the sack of money hungrily.
God damn it he's going to be so rich from today's sales, he can feel it.
