I'm not much of a fan of the Nezovic remixes either but I do like Livin' it Up especially among of the tracks in Felt so maybe I'd just rather he have done more of his own thing? Sorry to say, but the "ironic remix" thing kind of irks me. Lately I've seen a lot of people, especially those who weren't there at the time, with this weird attitude that everything Andrew does is trolling (like, even rudimentary things like levelling on the echeladder and Troll quadrants existing at all) and this feels similar. Sometimes Hussie has worldbuilding or developments you just don't like, I guess is the issue on that side. And sometimes you might just not like the music, too! This is allowed. The music team will simply unleash the hounds, is all. How are your running legs?

Oh god. Discovery and Corpse Song are my favourite parts of the Squiddles Christmas album.

1. I really thought that. I've heard his other stuff, like the non-Homestuck stuff, and I actually like it. But I actually even since my archival read thought it was a joke thing. Now I feel bad.

3. Discovery makes me cry for Billy and I can't listen to Corpse Song anymore it's worse than Let the Squiddles Sleep

Well about the prominently featured music team members thing CAM is official and FAM has several music team member tracks. The prominence is subjective but I included it anyway.

Showtime Remix: it's just.... Showtime (Piano Refrain) with one of dave's beat samples from his Phat Beat Machine over it?

Aggrieve Remix: I frankly don't know what to make of this. Like what am I supposed to say about this. I appreciate the crackly sound effect, but then it's just random snippets from Aggrieve (Violin Refrain) with more beatz over them.

Explore Remix: Ok this is much better. It's the main line from Explore with beatz over it (yet again) but at least the beats are actually not just dumped on the song and instead used to make an actual song that is pretty good actually. I mean it's not the best thing but combined with Explore it gives off a sense of melancholy.

Overall the songs suffered from not really trying to do anything special, and sounding pretty uninspired and just as if Dave decided that his friend's themes sounded way better with his samples mashed in.

@Thedude: A Plumbthroat Christmas is just especially messed up for me, and I think that's why I find it funny. Okay, so: I have a big auspistice fic, right? It's what the icon is for (<--). In it, I make several references to the inherent violence of Troll society to properly contextualize the ash, but wanting to also contextualize moirallegience, I took Andrew's running gag of a Squiddles intermission and did my own (caution: first draft, but the second draft version is months away yet), setting it as a series of jokes both against and in favour of the tropes of 90s cartooning. In it, Princess Berryboo (a teenaged Squiddle - what did I know? Older than the rest of the cast) has a few opportunities to talk to Plumbthroat, and at the end of the story, goes to talk to him one last time, hoping to befriend him and a certain crew member and get them to leave the Squiddles alone. Feeling empathetic after their time together, Plumbthroat tries to ward her off, warning her that the friendships she's proposing (essentially moirallegience) would not go her way, and he soon has to go into detail. While Berryboo had grown up enough to know that the children's show premise of friendship being the solution to everything simply isn't true (kicking. and. screaming.), the idea that a relationship could be truly harmful, dangerous or even abusive shakes her deep in the cultural sensibilities, and they end up shouting at one another. Berryboo leaves in the end, but her impact is felt, and someone paying attention to Rose and Jade's MSTs throughout the fic will realize that he attempts to leave the Squiddles be after that, though is driven back into the plot by factors out of his control, and to a particular end that hearkens back to this conversation.

Now... what was the plot of the Squiddles Christmas album again? Oh yeah. Plumbthroat tries to get in a relationship with (the Human) Berryboo and ends up murdering her. You should have seen my FACE. Somewhere, in the back of my mind, something tried to point out to me, "Well, of course, this proves your point entirely," but I don't think I heard it, because that was about the time the Squiddles found their "cake" and I started to laugh uncontrollably. I laugh with the deranged laughter of one who has seen the unknowable gods, and really, isn't that the best possible reaction to the Squiddles?

Discovery I like because it's sad, I suppose. Homestuck: needs more lyrics, some of them sad.

What is wrong with maibasojen?

Some music manages to sell being repetitive.

Maibasojen doesn't sell being repetitive. Not only is the left hand's ceaseless motor activity dull, I would say it actively pushes toward "annoying". Meanwhile none of the weird, semimelodic noodling in the right hand redeems what's going on. It's three unsatisfying minutes and thirteen unsatisfying seconds long, and once I realized that going forward, I would rather spend that 3:13 listening to almost anything else in my iTunes library, I confess that I deleted it.

I apologize to Isoraķatheð Zorethan F., but Maibasojen simply isn't a good track.

Knowing Isoraqathedh by reputation, I feel it's quite possible that Maibasojen is completely related to Homestuck. The trouble is that it's related in some esoteric, intentionally vague, probably mathematical way, such that I also don't doubt that if Isoraqathedh actually decided to explain it, I still wouldn't understand, because it would be related to Homestuck in some esoteric, mathematical way, and my brain wouldn't be able to take it. My brain take fractions sometimes, though, so take that with a grain of salt.
