Lackadaisy (http://www.lackadaisycats.com/) is a comic by Tracy J. Butler featuring the folks who run and patronize the eponymous Prohibition-era speakeasy in St. Louis, but especially the manic Rocky Rickaby.
The pages are beautifully illustrated, always funny or dramatic in just the right ways, and the extras are never to be missed; truly, with painstaking research and more period slang than you can wave your iron at, Butler brings the 1920s alive in the lowlife highlife of the American Midwest.
At risk of saying too much and making you spend time reading this when you could be browsing the site and reading the comic, I’ll stop here and give you a glimpse of the colorful (albeit usually sepia-toned) cast of characters. Oh, by the way: cats.
