I don't really understand why people want ASOTIL so bad? To give her a place to stay? I'm pretty sure that he would have to stay in the barracks, so he can't provide that. I'm not really sure what else someone could do for Katia either, she signed over all of her stuff legally. The best she could hope for is that Sigrid decides her (worthless) shit isn't worth keeping and throws it out. The most valuable thing was probably the book, and I would be surprised if Sigrid didn't already have a copy.

OK then, now down to the important business. That letter, you don't need it. You remember what it said, you can just tell QW what the letter said. I'm sure she would understand what kind of trouble you went through. You do remember what the letter said, right? It had a prick-ish tone that was "ironically" offensive... and it mention something about being ready to order more of her books. Really, even if you don't remember you could just ask that oddball for another letter. He might get mad, but that's his problem. As for the book, again, QW will understand. She might even feel guilty for sending you into harms way. Clear your mind of worry, the letter issue will sort itself out on its own, what is done is done. It is not sensible to cry over spilled milk, worry only about the current task at hand.

That task is simple, find somewhere dry and warm to sleep. Don't worry about clothes, don't worry about you reputation, Don't worry about money right now, save that for tomorrow. Perhaps you should try the chapel, I heard that Martin guy is a pretty charitable chap. He won't turn you down in your time of need.

And I repeat again, DO NOT SEEK BOOZE. Katia, everything that I or the others said will be invalid if you drink. QW won't care about all the trouble you went through if you just show up drunk to shag in her bed. She won't see a poor girl abused by the cruel world, only a slut cat that can't control her own animal desires. If she finds you like the latter, she will leave you to wallow in your self-pity.
