Thread: PREQUEL suggestion box (thread 6)

  1. #1151

    Re: PREQUEL suggestion box

Katia: Stop trying to break in, because getting in the building is just one problem. What are you going to do about Sigrid and her friend when you run into them? You should go back to the Anvil Mage's Guild and get some back-up from an experienced mage. Or even go report Sigrid to the higher-ups at the Arcane University in the Imperial City (that was Asotil's next stop, so you'll have protection on your journey). They probably won't care about what happened to you as one person, but they should investigate if you tell them she's robbing from the entire city. This could be your chance to save the city! Unless the Arcane University is in on Sigrid's scam.

One thing is for sure: don't let anyone, including Asotil, catch you saying anything bad about Sigrid. It's probably okay to talk to Quill-Weave, as she responded to your questions about the Kvatch Mage's Guild in a neutral manner. She'll also understand the situation that you're in. Remember that it's not your fault, Sigrid such a powerful mage she's got an entire city of people under her thumb.

Go get the letter. It may well be ruined, but maybe not, and there is a much higher chance of ruin if you wait for morning. Then off to the chapel for shelter and whatever else you may get. [Don't lie to your girl-friend. She will likely catch you anyway, and it's not right anyway. Of course, you won't have a chance to do that for some time.]

holy shit man, you're a genius.

there is absolutely no reason why she wouldn't be able to just stand in the barrier and drink it dry.

Why don't you go over to that elven fellow's campsite and sleep there? He definitely seems nice enough. Maybe he'll even give you something to wear.

It appears that you have been thwarted, Katia.

I would hurry to get the letter from the trash, and tell Quill Weave that you were swindled out of your belongings.

Hell, why not just go to the guy who owns the book store and tell him you've been robbed and failed to deliver the letter. Worst case situation he'll write about how you lost the original letter.

Also, before you go, since it seems that the barrier only blocks magic, throw a rock through the big window and call Sigrid a harlot and abscond.

Oh Katia, down on your luck again, without a septim or a scrap of clothing. Only one thing left to be done. Only one place to turn.

    Cults!

Man, didn't that cultist out front seem friendly? And I bet if you told him your story he'd even lend you his robe and take you to meet some of his friends. I bet they've got a nice warm, dry cave with extra beds. They might even be willing to lend some assassins to help you with your little problem!

...You still have magic. You've learned a few things, and who cares if your time tables are a bit off. Go adventure and increase your power. Sigil said you were a natural, and would soon be extremely powerful. There's plenty to be gained in adventuring, the least of which is treasure. Don't return empty handed, return as a force to be reckoned with. A few days ago you couldn't light a twig with fire, now you can chuck fireballs and about turn an entire building to ash. Take a few extra days to hone your magic, pick up some new tricks, and collect some treasure from adventuring. You can't focus on the set backs, you just have to move past them.

katia: is that ...uh "human" around anywhere? i know all she cares about is satisfying here strange condiment fetish but i have a feeling she might be able to help somehow, well that and im pretty sure no one would like to harbour a naked sad khajiit girl and have to wake up at 2 morning. or if the vampi- i mean nah doesnt want to help or you cant find her you could try and find "knight lockshimselfinclosetsalot". im pretty sure hes stuck in an outhouse somewhere. now that i think about it finding dumbass mcgee should have been first choice instead of looking for kindness in something that calls kittens "things full of blood". yeah go look for him. be sure to look for smoke coming out of strange places and maybe some knocking and yelling.

Sorry to reign on your parade, but I don't think people on Nirn will ever get that far into technology, you know, maybe they will, but not similar.

Katia stop! You are not a failure. You trusted the wrong people and lost your things as a forced "donation" just like this whole town has. Believe it or not everything you lost to Sigrid was replaceable. Your bit of money, the hatchet, and even your robes all are things that you can get somewhere else. You don't need the letter from the trash. Hirtel wrote the letter and can make another one. I'm sure you can convince him. You haven't really failed yet anyway. You haven't rushed off to drown yourself in pub somewhere like you use to. You have changed. Give it time. Katia, its time to stand up and find some clothes and a place to stay out of the rain. Go.

Guys Hirtel the clueless bookstore owner wrote the letter and made it nicer because he thought that was sarcasm. It probably wouldn't be that hard to get another one from him that is "more sarcastic" or something. Stop telling Katia to dig things out of the trash. She needs to get clothes and somewhere to stay. We need more "votes" for good suggestions now that the "beat down the door" command posters have been satisfied.

Satisfied would imply a lot, stymied might be closer. Satisfaction will need at the very least a moment or two of terror in the eyes of a certain well-regarded member of the community.

Katia: Try using your telekinetic powers to rip the door off of it's hinges. Or maybe you can use it to give yourself some extra power when ramming the door.

Katia: Don't even try to find the crumpled up letter. You already decided that you're not going to do anything dishonest in your new life; you cannot abrogate that resolution now. On the other hand, you are doing a good job of abrading the door - keep it up!

I'm adding another vote for all of these.

Also: Katia: Don't continue to provoke Sigrid. Take the long view -- as an Atronach, you have potential to become much better at magic than she is. Come back in a year or two and have your revenge wizard-fashion -- and don't forget to summon Eepy and let him have his. (And breadcrumbs.)

So! Do we know exactly when this is happening on the time line here? Because you know

    OBLIVION

Katia: Is that lighting, or is there any fire going on up ins? EXAMINE SKY. If it's just a storm, see if you can find some shelter. Also, see if you can talk to the guards about this. They'll probably have heard it before, but you may as well check! Also, try and keep an
eye on the guild hall. they cant stay in forever, and you can always try for some of their gold pile. Quill might like you a little less for failing to deliver, but in Cyrodill, gold heals all wounds.
If the sky is turning RED, maybe you should try to find some supplies. Just in case. At leaast find some guards, they;ll be able to help you out!
But in any case, KEEP YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. You know where your stuff is, it's not going anywhere. Keep calm.

Katia: Practice your newfound telekinetic powers by throwing rocks at the windows, and maybe attempt to climb through one? Get your sneak on and steal your stuff back! Also if you manage to get in somehow, find and shred the papers you were 'forced' to sign regarding your, and QW's belongings~

The level 2 novice of a main character is not going to be able to do anything to the major villain by beating her head against the door or using level 1 spells! At least let her get some experience in something before you tell her to jump down a well.

    Re: PREQUEL suggestion box

I actually went back and played the Kvatch video game just to see what was closest by. Now I know why everyone was wondering if Katia was going to burn down the orphanage!

I don't suppose the orphanage would take you in, would they Katia? Just for the night? That or the house of Argonian immigrants. I already suggested the Chapel, but just a thought, since those are slightly closer.

    EDIT: Aw, bottom of page.
