Thread: PREQUEL suggestion box (thread 6)

    Re: PREQUEL suggestion box

Hey sigrid just gave katia magicka rejuvenation stuff right? And she has her necklace off...right?

    >Katia: I hope you don't think that by catering to her whims, she'll become furendly, you've gotta do better than that! Purrhaps if you try telling her a heartwarming tail she might be more inclined to befriend you. After all, it would be just pawful if she didn't become your friend.

    Re: PREQUEL suggestion box

Well, looks like Sigrid let the cat out of the bag...

Katia: Must... resist... enchantment... all your stuff lost... Nooooooo!...

    Re: PREQUEL suggestion box

    @ChetBetera
It's a good plan, except her Eye of Fear still hasn't recovered from that spider she scared way back in the morning. So unless you just want her to bleed on Sigrid's stuff, that strategy doesn't seem effective.

Also Katia, while Sigrid's perfume is most likely legal, if you get the chance to focus your thoughts, say, if Sigrid is distracted by something like fire, it'd be swell if you would just punch her in the face repeatedly before she can get the chance to tell you to do something else.

Katia: Maybe you should give Sigrid that beautiful amulet you have, I'm sure she'd love it. See if you can get her to try it on as well, I mean she'd look dazzling! Much better than it looks on you.

And with her fantastic wit and sense of humor I bet she'd also enjoy a good cat pun!

Yes, make sure to throw it around her neck with your super powerful kajit reflexes.

Then she shall reveal her true form.

    > Katia: Well, isn't this just purr-fect. We told you, didn't we, Katia? We told you something was off, didn't we? But noooo, you didn't listen you were so desperate to get in good with the Mage's Guild, ignoring all basic logic. You didn't even need to go to this particular Guild Hall. You knew it was ostracized to the point where the Arch-Mage refused to speak of it. Did you think there wasn't a reason for that, puffball? Guess those big ears of yours aren't good for listening to reason. And now look where it's gotten you, you useless lump of mewling fur. Good luck with your dreams while you've been robbed blind and left with nothing but a ball of yarn on the side of the road, you stupid furball. Shame you'll have to disappoint Quill-Weave a second time. Hope it was worth it.

Asotil will not show up unless someone specifically cries for help, even if he is in a different city.
I doubt NaH, the still unnamed vampire, will intervene with this. If anything she was probably hit with the same trick.
Stephan apparently is more of a henchman, than an unwilling follower.

Katia: Mind check, where are you right now? Also what flavor is that ice cream?
    Nothing here but us chickens.

Sigrid: Accidently make an enormous cat pun, about the same level as the dish of milk was.

Katia> Nice perfume she got there, isn't it? Wait...

Crap, you've got your mind controlled, good luck in trying to keep your soul, blood and body parts intact...

Oh, and your belongings... Oh crap.

Katia, once the mind control has worn off and you get some sense back, snag the rusty key you saw on the way up and try it in the door with blood coming out from under it.

If you get some blackmailing dirt on Sigrid, you might be able to get all your belongings back.

I don't see how I can suggest anything constructive right now, as we are basically mind-controlled.

NOOOOO, I was misquoted, someone else posted that! I was trying to make Katia agree to stay the night and read magic books!

Katia, aren't you forgetting that this wonderful lady might want your clothes as well?
    This.

    And more importantly: (and seriously)

Katia> Feel bad about not having anything proper to donate to Sigrid. "Oh... This stuff really is the worst. One cheap book, one ruined one, a worthless letter... oh! I know! I can be an unofficial guild member for a couple days, and I heard about this dancing competition! I'll earn a big donation for the guild doing that!

Sigrid> Feel bad for trying to rob someone who has so little. Even if you take the money, it's not worth it. Leave her with her paltry showing of goods. Nothing here is really worth anything except maybe that gift package... ask her where she got it, realize it's another worthless book, and ignore it... Tell Katia she is 'unofficially' invited as part of the guild. At least that will make her happy... and maybe you can send her to that dance competition she suggested. Winning there would mean a real 'donation' too. And a potion or two in her favor would easily sway the audience.

    Katia's Subconsious> Quote/Vote for this!
Katia won't be able to resist, it's not a magic effect on her, it's a speechcraft effect with a large potion boost, so let's at least make the best of our situation. If Sigrid lets her stay, she'll get the best of what she wants, learn some magic, and Sigrid should be smart enough to let her keep her things (unless Sigrid is the type of person to carry around 500 buckets because they're worth 2 coins each! (*derpface*)

And just for good measure, if everything else fails.

    Re: PREQUEL suggestion box

How magic is alchemy? It's pretty magic, obviously, I'm just wondering if there's supposed to be some chemical element as well: Oblivion has alcohol acting like alcohol, but it's under the same sort of system as alchemical stuff works, and it's presumably not magic. Katia is an entirely different species, so wouldn't she react differently to like, pheromones and junk? Also there'd be the question of instinctual reactions, which makes me wonder if Katia's going to kill one of those deer and drop half of its corpse on Sigrid's bed or something.

Wait a minute. Alchemy works by the same system as alcohol... and Katia is weak against booze.

Katia: React excessively to wonderful enticing scent.

    Re: PREQUEL suggestion box

As optimistic as i'd like to be, Charm spells are very hard to resist and we won't be able to regret anything that we do during it. We'll always rationalize what we've done here because that's simply how Charm spells work. Otherwise, every merchant, every NPC who's ever been fooled by a Charm spell in-game would get angry at the player after the spell ends. And while we are under the Atronach sign, we've already dumped our stuff all over the place, so obviously we didn't absorb this spell. I think this may be our only hope:

    >Katia: Be Sigrid
    >Sigrid: You forgot the ice cream. How impolite! You better leave the room and go get it. Now. GO.

    Re: PREQUEL suggestion box

And here I was hoping the benefit of the doubt would actually benefit us, but no, no, I was right- her feminine wiles have indeed lead to these 'donations', and while I didn't specifically mean prostitution, after all it's the exact same scam used by the gang in Anvil only without the magical charm and they didn't sleep with anyone either, I mean, why would a mage actually sleep with anyone when they can just use charm period? I had thought better of someone under the hard gaze of the Archmage. Since obviously they know exactly what is going on down there and chose not to speak of it, I had though perhaps maybe the Mage's Guild would be competent enough to stop a rogue mage from outright stealing from people.

Granted. Sigrid may indeed just be trying to reestablish the guild by any means necessary, without any intent or harming anyone but that would giving her the benefit of the doubt again, and we have learned that lesson. And thus we have also learned that the Mage's guild itself can not be trusted to handle it's own affairs if they would allow even a fallen guild hall like Kvatch to CONTINUE to break the law -or at the very least do wrong to others continually through the abuse of magic- so I suppose we can't trust them either. Lesson learned. We aren't going to become a mage any time soon, even with the skills, the Guild itself is against us, or at the very least indifferent. Maybe we'll have better luck in another guild hall. But I wouldn't bet on it anytime soon. Not anymore.

I see no commands to give seeing as we are no longer of our right mind, therefore I can only offer suggestions on keeping ourselves safe in this time of vulnerability until the aftermath of our- charming. Luckily even a charmed person can't be killed outright without fighting back or breaking the charm so I doubt we're in mortal danger. But there will indeed be a strong compulsion from now to never trust any mage what so ever. Fool me once...

I would just like to point out that WE SHOULD IN NO WAY REACT WITH VIOLENCE, yes, it is wrong so utterly wrong but if we react violently we'll be blamed. We'll get in trouble. Then we'll have a bounty on us, the guard will be after us, and any reputation we have with the good citizens of Kvatch will be ruined. We. Cannot. react. violently. Charm does not last forever, we've only lost our stuff, we can always obtain more. Burning down a building will only harm us in the long run, only paint us as the psychopath criminal scum. Attacking Sigrid herself will only get her an excuse to kill us without consequence. The law will be on her side since it is not technically illegal to charm someone, yet it is illegal to attack them. Again, WE CAN NOT REACT WITH VIOLENCE. It will only give sigrid what she wants, and remove us as a problem in the future.

Sigrid has a lot of friends in town too, we are new. Even if we accuse her afterwards they will more likely believe her. Our only option at this point is to ride out the charm, and once past, try to retrieve our book and get BACK to anvil. Report what happened to Anvil mage's guild, deliver Quill weaves' book and letter, and go from there. We can not fight the whole of Kvatch, we can not fight an established mage scam ring, ....not yet.

Bide, Katia. Bide and remember. One day there will be justice. But not like this, we are not murderers- don't break the law. Let it go, but don't forget.
    Bide, and remember.

    Re: PREQUEL suggestion box

Katia: First let me say as your subconscious: I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW IT! I think it would be a good thing now to make sure to give her your necklace. But on a more defensive note: CONCENTRATE! CHARM SPELLS/PERFUMES CAN'T WORK IF YOU'RE TOO STRONG! YOU'RE AN ATRONACH! SLAP HER! KICK HER! SCRATCH HER WITH YOUR CLAWS! DON'T LET HER TAKE YOUR MONEY! JUST DO SOMETHING! GET ANGRY YOU FURBALL! THINK OF CAT PUNS. THAT SHOULD GET YOU ANGRY ENOUGH TO RESIST, RIGHT? Let's paws for a moment and think back on how well you were doing before you cuddled up to this con-artist. How could you fall for a purrty face? How could you let her milk all that coin out of you? Show her some cat-ittude! What, can't bring yourself to show her your claws? Cat's got your tongue? I guess you're okay with diving into purrverty again. You know, I was pretty sure cats always landed on their feet, but I guess you're just special. You're pawsibly the most weak-willed being in all of Nirn. All it took was a single dash of purrrfume to purrrsuade you to give up everything in your purrrse. You purrr thing. Is there some sort of legal clawse I can take advantage of to become some other purrrrson's subconsious? Your life is like a catarang, it always goes back to where it started - impawsverished and/or drunk. Not even the best cat nip in all of tamriel could pawsibly make this any better. Who cares if you know how to use some fire or move some useless tiny things around with telekittenesis, you're going to be broke at this rate.

I'm so angry at you I ran out of puns. Look at this, I'm sitting here in your brain (I'm surprised it even exists given how stupid you're being right now) being attacked by this charm because you just couldn't play it safe. You let her take advantage of you, you stupid little kitty. You are a sad excuse for an "intelligent" being. But hey, look at it this way: You're still a khajiit and therefore quick. You should have no problem getting a little swipe at Sigrid and grabbing that stuff and running away before she realizes what happened. Or maybe not, maybe your stupidity extends into your motor skills, idiot.
