so yeah this is a series which was more popular a while ago but is still making vidya

let me explain in as little stupidness as possible about this plot

You play as SORA (half of the time), a keyblade (blade that is a key WHAT CONFUSION HERE) wielder and like one of the only three or SOMETHING ???????. He is usually (unless he isnt the main character) aided by DONALD AND GOOFY which are didney characters. Also this game has didney characters. The main gameplay here is that it's an action RPG where you beat up things but it is also basically an rpg, with the main concept being that you invade didney worlds and hang out with the characters in them and break shit. as far as i know the first games plot revolves around sora's island getting fucked up, then his friend does a face heel turn and his gf disappears or something and then he is chosen (?) or something by some thing i dont know but then he gets a keyblade or maybe he had it before but anyway he becomes buds with donal and goofi and then they go and hang out in didney worlds and beat up heartless and then at the end some shit happens and his friend isnt that evil or what.

In the second game OH WAIT THE NEXT GAME CHRONOLOGICALLY IS ON THE GBA LOL. In Chain of Memories, you play a mostly bad game that is sort of like Kingdom Hearts except with cards and it's a lot more retarded as in how it plays. Sora, Donald, and Goofy go into a castle or something and meet a weird group of GOFFS called the Organization XIII. I dont know what happens because i didnt play it. In KH2, you play as roxas, who is in a paradox world that is based off the warped memories of sora or some fucking bullshit and then it turns out that he is not the main character and also sora's nobody which is some kind of weird shit i have no idea about. anyway then sora and buddiz go on a quest to find mickey mouse who is a complete badass in this game. they do some shit and then get caught up in MORE DIDNEY WORLD parties and some other shit happens and then at the end some weird shit goes down and roxas turns out to be part of the organization and one of them turns out to be the big bad forever OH FOR CHRISTS SAKE I HAVE NO IDEA

and then there were a bunch of spinoffs where you play as organization characters or something i never played them. KH3 is in the works.

I'm trying VERY VERY HARD not to spoil any more than what I already know from the Trailers so MINDBLOWING TWISTS are actually mindblowing instead of "oh, I read that on the wikia." when the US gets the game.

I spoiled BBS so bad, but, I'm not going to play that one anyways since I don't have a standard PSP.

Really really want a 3DS even if it's only for KH3D, but I'm sorta unsure if it might be a wise choice to sell my PS3 for the 3DS... and who knows if KH III might come out on the PS3? It's probably a risky gamble.

Anyway, I can't believe it's been ten years since the original KH. But wow. I'm just glad they're trying to implement new ways of playing this game. The command system from BBS was really the most ingenious system they had for Action RPGs, and it seems like they're really polishing the kinks out of it. Though I wonder if they're ever going to top that in the next game?

Eh. BBS is a prequel so it's worth reading up on at least. 356/2 Days and Coded are probably the least relevant, because for the former you more or less know what happened except with Xion. Coded, I dunno.

3D however seems to be an important transition game towards 3. Sora and Riku need to do something important and become keyblade masters.

I just don't understand how Xehanort and Lea are back, who you see in trailers. Kill the Heartless, Kill the Nobody, suddenly they're not dead?

Zeros might be able to counter anything, but they themselves can be canceled by anything. Also its so satisfying to counter some giant sleight with just a simple 0 swing. I was the only person I knew who understood and thoroughly enjoyed the card and deck system of CoM.

358/2 Days was pretty fun too, it controlled and looked great for being a DS game. The mission structure was kinda ehh, but it was still okay. Storyline I didn't even really bother with.

I've played them all except for Coded. I don't have a 3DS or even a PS3 so I'm not sure if I'm going to continue, even the convoluted story just gets more and more interesting. Birth by Sleep of all the spinoffs is definitely the best and is worth your time and your gameplay. Finally, a girl who's not completely useless.

Oh and Roxas is my favorite.

Yeah, Neku and Shiki seem be the ones to interact with Sora, while Riku gets Joshua and Beat. Rhyme also appears.


A TWEWY Keyblade was confirmed for split second views of it in the trailers. It's got a Reaper wing design while having some accessories of the main characters. Neku's Headphones make the handle, Beat's skull is at the base of the design, and Mr. Mew makes the charm.

They are Dream Eaters, the colorful enemies in 3D, since Sora and Riku are in the Realm of Dreams. There are Nightmare Dream Eaters and Spirit Dream Eaters, the latter being the ones that help you and are your allies. Nightmares are the enemies and bosses.

Dream Eaters are only this game, (unless they for some reason return to realm of sleep or whatever its actually called).

Dream Eaters exist in the realm of dreams, which is where Sora and Riku are 'at' right now.

The trailer says they need to unlock the keyhole of sleep, or something? to become Keyblade Masters.

And, Heartless and Nobodies don't exist in the dream realm so Dream Eaters are appropriately the monsters here.

Nightmares eat good dreams and make nightmares, and are the bad guys and have darker hues. They're paletted with Blacks and Reds and more Dersey harlequin colors. They all have red disk shaped eyes

Spirits eat bad dreams and make good dreams, and are Sora and Riku's party members. They have more colorful hues and all of their eyes are weirdly shaped. Apparently they can be recolored too? And also, evolved into stronger ones.

Compare the Spirit Wonder Meow to the Nightmare version. And also the evolved one Kingdom Meow.






Remember this is only going by what I've seen in trailers. NOT SPOILING ANYTHING ELSE AUUUUGH


Anyways, you'll notice that Sora and Riku are younger in 3D. This does take place after 2, And you see before they set on their adventure in the realm of dreams that Sora and Riku are still older.

I've been followin' the series ever since my sis accidently left the first one at my house. Been following since. The only game I can't play is BBS, as I don't have a psp.
I think Kingdom Hearts 3 would be released on both the PS3, for the Sony fans, and the Wii U for the Nintendo fans. Because why force someone to get another console if they don't have one yet? (I know the WU ain't out yet, but I really doubt they'd wanna release it on the regular Wii, because of graphic limitations)

The only KH game I played was 358/2 Days. Liked the gameplay, the story is laughable and ridiculous and needlessly complex, but not in the good way like Homestuck.

358/2 was hardly even necessary. Xion was like, a character that didn't even MATTER because her whole existence was like Sonic 06's ending.

But more or less the point of her was to explain why it took so long for Sora to be all good to go between CoM and 2.

Days was probably my favorite to play before BBS. I think it was more necessary than Coded, even though I enjoy Coded to a good amount (those avatars).

The only thing is that Data-Sora apparently formed a heart too and the fact that he's a seperate entity but also 'the same person' that kind of conflicts with Sora.

I think Xemnas points this out at sora in one of the trailers. With so many hearts, how does he know which memories are his?

Oh wait, here's the exact quote:

"I see... The memories and emotions you've had up until now... can you really say they originally came from you?"

This is stated at Sora when he's currently in the Tron Legacy world, so I guess this pulls at his heart(s) strings since Data Sora is kind of a thing here too I guess?

Well, Sora's heart(s) connect to Roxas, Ven, and Xion. Ven's Heart is Chillin in Sora, Roxas kind of merged back with Sora in KH2, and Xion kind of dissolved, so some of her may be in Sora(?).
