{NEW ALBUM} UNIVERSE B???

To be fair, i skipped around the album, some vriska theme here, some nepeta theme there, and general suggestions from the forums, but i must admit that Your universe is hands down best hs song i've heard in a while. Its so well executed and it fits so well, i mean a non homestucker could enjoy it and feel the drama between spades and snowman without reading the comic. Its just that brilliant.

The guy who submitted those songs pretty much plagiarized a song, claiming it was a remix which the music team deemed okay. They then found out the song was pretty much exactly the other song and pulled it out, along with the other song the guy made.

Personally, I didn't care that much for Your Universe (Found it to be just 0kay) but loved Temporal Shenanigans. Also loved both of the Fuschia themes; Between those and Love You, I think I've got a thing for the seadweller (but not seadwweller) themes.

Hi! Glad you enjoy the song!!! Sorry the art was so Sadstuck, but we wanted people to see the side of Nep that was rarely seen: her unrequited love exposed. Since the first part of the song mostly covers Disciple and Sufferer's developing love, they take the center stage, while the last minute and change is about Nepeta and her more youthful but powerful feelings for Karkat. I was a bit surprised to see how some songs were renamed while mine (which, admittedly, spanned two incarnations of the same character in Disciple/Nepeta) and a few others remained as Extras. I'm just thrilled that the music and art get to be enjoyed by HS fans like you! Thanks again!

I can't stop listening to Indigo Heir/formerly Dersite Dirge. Though I was pretty miffed when I discovered that pretty much all of the songs once had other names and were for other characters.

Almost all the tunes switched would've fit their original subjects better--as that were the artists' intent. I mean, if these ancestor/troll themes were awesome, think of how much more awesome they would be if someone had taken everything about that character into consideration and composed a finely crafted song based around that.

I guess I can only hope now they had at least all gotten some sort of heads up prior to what their songs ended up becoming. I'm surprised this hasn't spiraled into something like another Bolin situation (with less rage and more composure), with someone getting upset over their songs not used the way they were intended to be. I would be pretty pissed myself if something I worked hard to create was changed like this.

And some of the song/name matches seemed like they were trying to plug a round peg into a square hole. I can't IMAGINE how they made the connection between Equius and a soft piano piece clearly meant for ANYTHING else. Same with Cobalt Thief. The beeping was Serenity repeating "please help him" (WV) in morse code. As a Vriska theme, it now means absolutely nothing. The song loses all depth and meaning.

And a Gamzee song with no honks? BlaThPhEmY!

I ended up putting the original song names next to their new names on my copy of the album.

Nice to meet you! Curious if you'd agree or not, but I'm surprised to hear a lot of the other musicians used a fair bit of bell sounds in their pieces; figured I'd be the only one! I really enjoyed your trills, the opening orchestral swell and and the clockwork sounds the drums create in the latter part of the song! Very well done!
