Everyone has shipped. If you read a tale of a pair of star-crossed lovers and wanted them to be together, you've shipped. If you've ever read of someone who is trying to work up the courage or engaging in large attention grabbing spectacle to try to win the heart of someone, and wanted them to succeed, then you've shipped. If you've looked at two people in a piece of literature and said "this is the hero, and this is the heroine, and they will probably be in a relationship by the time the story is over" then you have shipped. It's silly to dismiss people who look at characters and desire them to be in a relationship, because you've done it too. If you don't think you have, then you're either lying or ridiculously unaware of your own thoughts.

2) No-one can possibly deal with any form of government without wanting to strangle themselves with an angry cat. That's about as emotional as you can get.

I don't really get attached to ships for anything but fun most of the time, but I only pull for JohnVriska because I have a hard time seeing her get a happy ending without it.

She needs relationships, and as of right now, John is the only one willing to be a friend to her. And Vriska wants to be more than a friend to him, and I have a hard time seeing her not being devastated by the idea of NOT having him. VriskaJohn is the happiest possible ending for her, (and it'd do a decent job of helping out John too but it's not as vital to his arc.) until we see some evidence otherwise.

Also, ship wars are fun because you can be competitive about things that don't matter. Gets a lot of weird energy out.
