It was time to begin choosing who would die….of course, if anyone would die at all. Though the group gathered certainly had its fair share of shady characters (who exactly was it that suggested killing people by throwing them into the gigantic paper shredder? eugh), but even then, it’s a hard thing to do, just go and decide to take someone’s li- awwww who are we kidding everyone is READY TO SEE SOMEONE SWING.
Those damn blackmailers had them cooped up in this creaky Gothic Revival building when they could be at home catching their soaps. And they would pay, dammit. Also that guy who always looked at you funny during office parties. HE WOULD PAY AS WELL.
Ok, that might have been bit of an exaggeration in the opposite direction. While many of the people caught up in the crisis were….different enough not to be too distraught, they were still more somber than usual. Respect for the dead was entirely different from willingness to make more of them, after all. A couple seemed to have second thoughts, but the majority was well aware of what needed to happen, and of course quite resentful of the wrongdoers who made it necessary.
