Choose Your Flavor Mafia: GAME USURPED. (town win, PRIME INTELLECT win)

So. I'm going to be running a mafia in the near future (IE: after I get signups, and after WHTG3 has calmed down a bit, and preferably off-cycle from the current big cycle of games.)

For those who have played in my previous games ... this one will have flavor! By me! And everything! And it's going to make no sense because it's also ....
CHOSE YOUR FLAVOR! That's right! You get to pick what flavor your role will have! ... but unfortunately, that has no bearing on the mechanics. And I might make SLIGHT MODIFICATIONS as required.

Full rules will come later, but the short version: It's a mafia. There will be shenanigans but maybe not "bastardry". Days probably 120 hours, nights probably 48. There will be sheningans. There will be time-sensitive mechanics.

DAY ONE START

... what was that?! All you saw was a flash of blue-orange.

After the flash clears, you can see a giant ball of blue-orange light in the center of a large crystalline chamber. As well as quite a few other people - a quick count shows that it's seventeen, plus you - who are looking just about as confused as you.

A moment later, loud sirens sound. Everyone, naturally, panics, for a bit. Then the sirens stop, and you all hear a voice - you can't tell where it's coming from, but you can definitely hear it; an adult male's voice, slightly distorted and possibly artificial.

"To the multidimensional entity which is in the Nexus Chamber at this time: Your arrival has set off the alarms, and the inner section of this city has been evacuated and sealed. You are requested to leave immediately, as your presence here will not be tolerated."

The voice goes silent, and you have a moment to think. You're pretty sure you'd love to leave. But you have no idea how you'd go about doing that, so ... that's not an option. And what does the voice mean by 'multidimensional entity', anyway?

The voice interrupts your considerations with another declaration. "We detect seventeen entities within the Nexus Chamber. If you can identify the multidimensional entity and any followers of that entity, simply force them through the Nexus - the center of this chamber - and they will be dealt with and the seals will be released. Until you intend to do so, you may proceed out of the chamber and follow the signs to the Wayfarer's Rest Inn, where you can stay while making your determinations. There, you will also find a supply of the flux crystal; breaking the crystal will release the energies within. This is unlikely to be of assistance to you, but it is mentioned for the sake of completeness."

As a group, you pretty quickly agree to follow the voice's directions, for the moment. After all, what else can you do? When you get to the abandoned inn, you find a pile of crystal behind the bar. Quickly doling it out, you all end up with five pieces, whatever it is they might be good for.
