It's also not really known who would've won the fight between Noir and Vriska, and so Noir would've gone after Bilious Slick afterward if he won, although I doubt that it really matters because it would be a doomed timeline anyway.

See, you and I both have the same hang-ups over Vriska. As much as she's lovably disgustingly justifiably bluh, there's simply no way you can justify throwing a guy off a cliff unprovoked and then, later on, asking him to apologize for it.

But enough about Vriska, I think that Tumblr can be kinda weird at times, but my basic understanding is making a tumblr solely for that cause probably won't do you too much good.

So my first reaction was that Vriska (of the actual memory/initial pesterlog) was actually being kinda cute...in a jerky kinda of way...

That is doesn't justify/make me forget her actions of blinding Terezi (or crippling Tauros), but there's something strangely cute in her saying to the effect, 'Let's be/stay friends forever'--there was also a hint of desperation in a casual way (not that Vriska would be aware of it)...I mean, Terezi was her 'sister'/real friend and then Terezi took out her magic eye & arm (an act of betrayal in Vriska's mind--Vriska being someone not expecting betrayal from her trusted Scourge Sister, whom she puts above others)...Since Vriska is a troll and violent/big on revenge and b/c Vriska is Vriska and Vriska is violent impulsive (her blinding Terezi for some reason reminds me of er facing Jack Noir--she thought about it, but she really didn't think about it/the consequences & how it really affects others...she has a distance/is unempathetic/lacks emotional common sense to others? even to those she is close to)... That she still wants to be friends is kinda cute--but also rather creepy (& jerkish) too...

I realize that the knowledge of Vriska's actions, blinding Terezi, isn't new but I think the conversation really brings out emotions and nuances....

I also realize that this is not actually Vriska but Aranea & a dream bubble, but it is supposed to be a memory & up until that point, it seemed that they were following it? Or maybe I am just crazy/too partial, wanting this to have been said by Vriska?

Well, Vriska did have some good intentions. She wanted Tavros to be a hero like his ancestor and tried to help him with this. She helped John in his quest and also tried to make him stronger. She also wanted to protect everyone from Jack by going after him (though it wouldn't work out).

She had good intentions, but weird and messed up ways to accomplish them.

This reminds me, considering Tauros & Vriska's relationship (for lack of better word) and Summoner & Mindfang's relationship, I wonder what Aranea & Tauros' other universe-ancestor's relationsip is AND what Vriska's rxn to potentially meeting him ;p...

I also wonder if Aranea had a spider eye as well pre-death...

Aranea is pre-scratch Mindfang. Mindfang had vision eightfold and therefore Aranea had vision eightfold.

On a related note to this eye thing: I think that the trolls with special vision wouldn't lose their special vision just because they die. I mean, their eyes are whited out but that's more of a trait that indicates that they're ghosts. It's not like they can't see anymore or anything, and so it stands to reason that they wouldn't lose their proper sight.

Agreed about being shocked over Vriska chucking Tavros off a cliff. That honestly shocked me more then anything. 'Fly, Pupa, Fly' was possibly the most demented part of that whole scenario. I get goosebumps remembering it.

But I still found Vriska a compelling character. Not one of my favourites, but her entire involvement plot-wise was possibly the largest of all the trolls. Actually, next too Karkat, she was probably the most important for a very long time.

In the pages that detail that particular offshoot, Scratch says that he wouldn't bet against Vriska in that fight, implying that it was more likely that she would win, and as powerful as Ancestral Awakening is, I doubt she'd be able to kill the frog. And its also the matter of killing it at the right time, Jack and Vriska's fight would have probably lasted a fair amount of time, so they could have missed the point where the frog is supposed to die.

There was no such implication. The actual implication is that she stood a chance of winning. Doc Scratch said that he wouldn't bet against her because this was all him guessing beyond the void in his omniscience, and as such he couldn't be completely sure of the hypothetical outcome. Besides, I could otherwise counter your point by stating that Doc Scratch also said that Noir would "not be merely compelled, but challenged," and then adding: "challenged, but not overpowered." Your logic would use this to indicated that Noir is the most likely victor, although the real overall implication is just that it would be a close match.

Nevertheless, none of this matters because, again, it would be a doomed timeline.
