I have a friend who wants to learn homestuck, but can't get their mind around it. Is there anything in maybe the fan projects or something that could some it up visually?

People have tried to produce timeline diagrams and spreadsheets, but I am not sure where; ask on the Simple Questions thread either for where diagrams are or directly what you want to know.
The wiki might be of some help too.
There was a project about annotations via GreaseMonkey. Personally, I wasn't a fan. Either way, it seems to have died off.
My Fanfiction:

But if someone who has read a significant fraction of Homestuck (~EoA4) still can't grasp the basic questions - and I mean in a "I don't remember that this explicitly plot-related object has appeared before" way - I really don't think Homestuck is for them. Sorry. It's as much puzzle as story, there is a certain amount of attention and brainpower required.
maybe try showing some videos?
I know there's a thread somewhere, probably Fan Projects, that has begun tracking the individual timelines of the characters. It's supposed to be good for figuring out the Weird Time Shit for starters. It's not fully completed though, unfortunately. Can't remember what it's called.
I don't know about visual aides, but the youtube video, "Homestuck, how far we've come" Is a pretty good teaser. It's really hard to get a friend into homestuck by giving them a link to the first page, though. :/
The evil powers of grimdark shall consume you!
Yeah this thread was never actually in the right place. It's a much more appropriate question for the MSPA forum, down south a ways. I'm going to lock it.
