I find it kind of weird that John is calling all the romance stuff stupid when it has been the focus of the comic for a good while.

Also, this reminds me once again why I hate the timeskip: I would rather the characters be left static until they arrive in the Alpha universe and the whole thing about the story take place over the course of 1 day (from the characters' perspective) be perserved than have YEARS of character development happen off screen and character relationships be built and deteriorate offscreen.

All of this puts me down. I totally agree with you, Arms. I mean, especially when SHE was the one who helped throughout most of his adventure, led him to a source of power he probably would have never found, while Karkat only sat on his ass and screamed at him. Urgh.

Meh. "Push him down a flight of friendship stairs" reads like a rejection of romance to me. The main difference seems to be that John remembers Karkat's name, which makes some sense since Karkat talked to Jade as well as John (and was a good bit more important than Vriska in terms of the Plan, though not necessarily in the Plot).
