-Honestly, I don't like the boxing club idea. it sounds like an alternate playthrough where we focus on strength, It would be nice if Aradia was in it in this adventure, but only mentioned casually. We already have so many plotlines. I'd like to prevent burdening thestory with too many sideplots. Keep it light and mobile and progress through the story more quickly. A strategy like that makes going back and trying different things more fun/feasible as well.

-Welp, I feel like a closed minded asshole. I've been trying to force Kanaya down this path of being a leader, but I really don't know much about Kanaya's feelings about it. She clearly has the aptitude and doesn't seem to mind it, but she already has a dream. I am mad at myself for ignoring it, and on some level thinking of it as an unworthy dream. Like conservative parents who try to pressure their kids to find a more "respectable" occupation. I was even going to vote to neglect the sewing club because it would be pretty time intensive.

I'll try to give more commands that give Kanaya the chance to flex her fashion muscles, but more importantly I'm going to keep my eyes peeled to see what balance makes her the most happy. I think people suit her and she'd be better off in the range of 3/4 leader to 1/4 fashion designer, but that should depend on her. It's important to distinguish between whether she'd rather be a fashion designer who can lead or a leader that is also a fashion designer. We can't just think of the harem, we've got to think about her.

-Fight: unbeknownst to the group, have been recorded in it's entirety and posted on Skaianet. Reputation + a lot. Tomorrow, Principle Kracht can call you to his office about it. He could talk about how things are destabilizing in the school because of us, and ask us what we want to accomplish in our stay here. It's a good chance for Kanaya to solidify her goals and start to consciously work towards making Skaia a better place. This could be a nice way to get Aradia noticed for the pugilism club too.

Kanaya> With the new-found EMOTIONAL STRENGTH your friends have given you, gain the CONFIDENCE to stop obsessing over the social hierarchy, and the RESOLVE to climb to the top to fix it.

Argue that the school should try to do it's best to nurture leadership and political activeness in ALL students instead of a few handpicked ones. Try to appeal to any patriotism he/they might have and talk about the spirit of democracy. Persuade him that the teachers at most should take the form of the legislative branch. Let the students run their shit. Have English set some sort of condition for it's long term existence for spice.

Prospitan Utopia Party Platform:

I'm worried that Kanaya is caving to her baser instincts and being a creep. We've been viewing this as a "game" and have been giving commands accordingly, but the result is a very cynical perspective being passed onto her where all social contact is adversarial. The community has said that we want a harem ending; but that's a very one dimensional goal in a universe thoughtfully crafted enough to deserve more attention.

We want a harem ending because lesbians r hawt. That's cool, but an ending with an emotionally detached Kanaya ruling over her dominion is a bad ending in my view. To defend these values I hereby found the Prospitan Utopia Party.

The party's goals are:
1. Achieve a harem.
-All student-class female characters. Adult-class characters optional.
-Must be based on respect and genuine affection. Rivalries are fine, genuine hate is not. They are not trolls.
-Relationships must be totally open. Do the legwork and heal the rifts between people, don't juggle girls so they never see each other.
-Amendment #1: excludes OC characters

2. Create peace, order, and happiness in the school.
-Preferred method: Found the Student Council. Be the President.
-Must rule through exceptional leadership skills, not fear.
-Cannot exclude ANYONE. Treating Vriska like Aradia is now won't help anything.

3. Open Kanaya's heart.
-Teach her how to move people with eloquence without using it as a shield to hide her real self.
-Teach her to trust and lead- as opposed to the Scourge Sisters' manipulate and tyrannize
-Prevent her from viewing everything as a contest- let her have fun with these friendlovers she never had.

If you were wondering, the name was a mistake. I got the schools mixed up. It fits though, Prospit is the empire of light. In another playthrough Maybe Derse will rule.

-I've been thinking more about the structure of the story and I believe I need to change my thinking on some matters. I still firmly support the ideals of the Prospitan Utopia Party, but there's going to be more to that in the story. The different plotlines we're dealing with are separate, but connected. In trying to accomplish what we want here, we'll need to go wading through this shit. Where right now we have a fairly successful romantic plotline with Kanaya, a pretty hopeless plotline with Gamzee, and a still emerging political plotline with the adults (although perhaps there are multiple of those), we are going to have one complicated and interconnected plot. For example: Jade's connection to Bec Noir is probably going to need to be explored before we can make her a true member of our harem.

My point is, we're looking at some of this stuff on the wrong scale. Terezi is an obstacle, but before we overwhelm her we will need to compromise with her to work on some of the deeper threats that have been shaping the characters' lives. A lot of the tension in the school is going to be a reflection of tensions in the outside world. Since the difficulty is going to be rising as we play in this way, we need to be conscious of the need to build the school into something more powerful instead of dividing it in an ultimately harmful zero-sum game with Terezi. We should start being prepared to "lose" for the greater good. In that regard, we need to learn from Terezi and her Xanatos' Gambit. Preventing deeper rifts and us vs. them mentality in the school > beating Terezi in a snark off.

This is also useful for Gamzee because he's never going to seduce with words like Kanaya. When the boys unite against the political shit, Gamzee can prove himself with actions. And violence.

note #1: She's a princess, she'd need to go against her mother to choose who she has a relationship with.
note #2: Beware, daughter of the bitch queen and engaged to probably Cornelius. A Makara, anyway.
romantic strategy: Homophobia is hard to fix, and it's probably even harder to change royalty's classist perceptions. Instead, we need to grant her the courage and will to fight for her own destiny. Kanaya should notice her crush and offer her help. We can deepen her attachment to Jade, show her she'll have allies when she opposes her mother, and just give her a place to speak openly about her feelings. And just think of the stereotypical corny events! "Pretend I'm Jade. Tell me how you feel.", "You feel insecure about kissing? I could help you practice!"
Rufio:
note #1: I can't see Rufio truly being happy until he defeats those he was fighting. He feels impotent, and he won't fight without someone to guide him now. He needs another leader like the Sufferer. Kanaya is far from being ready to take that burden, but I want her to eventually.
Calmasis:
note #1: Honestly I'm not sure about Calmasis. Ze has too little characterization to predict her actions. I don't think ze cares enough about us to risk another beatdown, ze seemed to be in it for the lulz.
romantic strategy: Ze doesn't seem suitable for the harem- ze's too creepy and not really fitting into the whole lesbian harem thing. Clearly the best romantic end for Calmasis is for him/her to hook up with Dirk.
Jade:
note #1: We gotta settle Jade down to have any hope of our harem not exploding. She's feisty, and angry at the corruption here.

We want a harem ending because lesbians r hawt. That's cool, but an ending with an emotionally detached Kanaya ruling over her dominion is a bad ending in my view. To defend these values I hereby found the Prospitan Utopia Party.

The party's goals are:
1. Achieve a harem.
-All student-class female characters. Adult-class characters optional.
-Must be based on respect and genuine affection. Rivalries are fine, genuine hate is not. They are not trolls.
-Relationships must be totally open. Do the legwork and heal the rifts between people, don't juggle girls so they never see each other.
-Amendment #1: excludes OC characters

2. Create peace, order, and happiness in the school.
-Preferred method: Found the Student Council. Be the President.
-Must rule through exceptional leadership skills, not fear.
-Cannot exclude ANYONE. Treating Vriska like Aradia is now won't help anything.

3. Open Kanaya's heart.
-Teach her how to move people with eloquence without using it as a shield to hide her real self.
-Teach her to trust and lead- as opposed to the Scourge Sisters' manipulate and tyrannize
-Prevent her from viewing everything as a contest- let her have fun with these friendlovers she never had.

If you were wondering, the name was a mistake. I got the schools mixed up. It fits though, Prospit is the empire of light. In another playthrough Maybe Derse will rule.

-I've been thinking more about the structure of the story and I believe I need to change my thinking on some matters. I still firmly support the ideals of the Prospitan Utopia Party, but there's going to be more to that in the story. The different plotlines we're dealing with are separate, but connected. In trying to accomplish what we want here, we'll need to go wading through this shit. Where right now we have a fairly successful romantic plotline with Kanaya, a pretty hopeless plotline with Gamzee, and a still emerging political plotline with the adults (although perhaps there are multiple of those), we are going to have one complicated and interconnected plot. For example: Jade's connection to Bec Noir is probably going to need to be explored before we can make her a true member of our harem.

My point is, we're looking at some of this stuff on the wrong scale. Terezi is an obstacle, but before we overwhelm her we will need to compromise with her to work on some of the deeper threats that have been shaping the characters' lives. A lot of the tension in the school is going to be a reflection of tensions in the outside world. Since the difficulty is going to be rising as we play in this way, we need to be conscious of the need to build the school into something more powerful instead of dividing it in an ultimately harmful zero-sum game with Terezi. We should start being prepared to "lose" for the greater good. In that regard, we need to learn from Terezi and her Xanatos' Gambit. Preventing deeper rifts and us vs. them mentality in the school > beating Terezi in a snark off.

This is also useful for Gamzee because he's never going to seduce with words like Kanaya. When the boys unite against the political shit, Gamzee can prove himself with actions. And violence.

Feferi:
note #1: She's a princess, she'd need to go against her mother to choose who she has a relationship with.
note #2: Beware, daughter of the bitch queen and engaged to probably Cornelius. A Makara, anyway.
romantic strategy: Homophobia is hard to fix, and it's probably even harder to change royalty's classist perceptions. Instead, we need to grant her the courage and will to fight for her own destiny. Kanaya should notice her crush and offer her help. We can deepen her attachment to Jade, show her she'll have allies when she opposes her mother, and just give her a place to speak openly about her feelings. And just think of the stereotypical corny events! "Pretend I'm Jade. Tell me how you feel.", "You feel insecure about kissing? I could help you practice!"
Rufio:
note #1: I can't see Rufio truly being happy until he defeats those he was fighting. He feels impotent, and he won't fight without someone to guide him now. He needs another leader like the Sufferer. Kanaya is far from being ready to take that burden, but I want her to eventually.
Calmasis:
note #1: Honestly I'm not sure about Calmasis. Ze has too little characterization to predict her actions. I don't think ze cares enough about us to risk another beatdown, ze seemed to be in it for the lulz.
romantic strategy: Ze doesn't seem suitable for the harem- ze's too creepy and not really fitting into the whole lesbian harem thing. Clearly the best romantic end for Calmasis is for him/her to hook up with Dirk.
Jade:
note #1: We gotta settle Jade down to have any hope of our harem not exploding. She's feisty, and angry at the corruption here.
