That's probably not Alternia, given that the PS characters also show up in the flash. It's just a glimpse at the Midnight Crew story that shows up for the pre-scratch kids as being the current MSPA story.

But it's already known that the Midnight Crew are the exiles of the trolls, and were also seen in Derse. And we know that exiles are there to repopulate the host planet after its destruction by the meteors. It's much more probable than Alternia was not much of a concept for Andrew. And at the end, we see Karkat, and his room is not like the one we saw in Act 5.

But Karkat doesn't feature in the original Midnight Crew flash.
That flash is kinda like the Homestuck page Jack saw in Intermission 1.
Not directly canonical but more like an interpretation created by someone from his own universe.

Doc Scratch's revolver shoots a single white sphere.
Snowman shares the Midnight Crew's billiard-ball motif with a preference for the black 8-ball.
Hitting the 8-ball before you've hit the rest of the balls into the pockets counts as a scratch.

Going along with this, sending the white ball at All of the balls at once in the beginning of the game is called a Break.
Lord English has a constant cycle of billiard balls in his eyes, presumably collecting them once the rest of the Midnight Crew was dead.
LE will die when a white sphere hits him right between the eyes and BR34KS his H34D.
Of which starts the new game.

These are more IDE/Theories than obvious things you missed. After all, LE came into existence in [S] Intermission 2 while a clock t1CK t0ck'd and Doc Scratch's H34D BR8K'd. Meanwhile LE honk HONK'd.

So it is not "obvious" there'll be another callback to them.

I like them as theories though!

That said until it's released we don't know what its exactly the album's going to be titled, so it's not an obvious thing you can miss (until the 16th anyway).

I got the impression that she and Meenah are dead because of the Scratch, since I don't think god tier immortality covers "wiped from existence". That's just how I interpreted it anyway, you could totally be right, I think we'll find out for sure soon enough.

That's headcanon and nothing more. We have no proof to confirm this, and for now, the only evidence we have is her saying 'my plan worked', which could go in millions of different ways. Don't try proving someone wrong without facts.
