I thought the "steal his will" part related to her mind control, but I guess that could be part of her Thief of Light powers since apparently its not a normal ceruleanblood thing

It's meant to, but, like many things in Homestuck, it applies a double-meaning. As the Thief, the Black Queen says it's her job to steal, and Vrika's case, his mental will was included in the 'Things that can 8e stolen' list. It also applies to the fact that as a Thief, she can move Tavros around whereas other servers cannot, as it steals their free will and natural ambition/fruition/whatever that Rose mentions. When I first read Homestuck(and Hivebent as a subset of it) I immediately wondered why the hell Vriska could move around like that when I specifically remembered Rose being incapable of doing so. Going back to the dialogue, I can see why and how now. Because she is the Thief, and thus allowed to 'steal' her client's say in the matter of where he goes in relation to what he might be touching.

tl;dr Another one chalked up for Vriska being OP: Being able to move Tavros around whereas others can't for the soul purpose of making his life a little more miserable.

It isn't entirely prohibited. If you look at the page where Rose was trying to move the bed John was lying on, the bed is jostling a bit, and so is John.

There's also the issue of intent, Rose was actively trying to help John reach his gate, Vriska was just trying to hassle Tavros. I don't think Vriska's role as a Thief played into that situation.

I technically noticed this months ago, but eh.

Some of the characters have gray outlines (and general gray colors) against black backgrounds. Why? Black on black obscures detail.
Same thing with the different shades of gray on white. White on white obscures detail.

I'm just saying that Vriska wasn't met with the same red-lined barrier of motion that Rose did. Also the explicit mentioning of the thievery of will and such, in conjunction with the Black Queens instructions to Vriska, just helped me make the connection.

Actually, now that I think about, this isn't even really all that obvious. If anything it's a complicated contraction of callback and game mechanic.

The thing that caught my eye in the quoted snippet was this:

Which player taught John how to cheat? Even without the thief bit in the next line, that would be enough to rest this case for me.

Not quite. Her pre-scratch incarnation was named Meenah. The Condesce, like Aranea/Spinnerette Mindfang was likely given a different name in the post-scratch universe.

Not really a thing you missed unless you also missed that Jane, Jake, Roxy, and Dirk are (pretty much) alternate universe versions of Nanna, Grandpa, Mom, and Bro (unless you also missed that the babies were Nanna, Grandpa, Mom, and Bro).

The Red Queen comes from an alternate version of chess where the black pieces are red. And she's also very similar to the Red Queen herself (Alice in Wonderland, Through the Looking-Glass).
