What would be the worst ending to Homestuck?

our heroes create the real world. we zoom in on andrew hussie drawing the final few panels of homestuck (he's drawing the very panel that we're reading; panels within panels infinitely nested). he uploads the last update and reflects: "It begins to dawn on you that everything you just did may have been a colossal waste of time."

Hussie has said he's known how Homestuck would end from the very beginning, even before all the trolls and time/space shenanigans. So given that it started out just as the Beta Kids playing Sburb, the whole GAME OVER, link back to the first panel with a TRY AGAIN? button seems fairly likely.
But I've always liked the idea that Andrew would "end" the series falsely before actually ending it. Like doing the GAME OVER ending or any of the others proposed here but somehow containing a secret way to get to a short (or long, if he wanted) continuation of the story that gives an alternate result. The people who found this would be instructed not to tell anyone, so it remained a secret amongst the sleuthiest of fans.

Haha, exactly. That's the problem with it -- it would be sweet, but grossly impractical. You'd have to to have a way to only pick out the people willing to honor it, which is, of course, not practical at all. Including only fans who would keep it to themselves: impossible. Fans who would actually keep it to themselves: nonexistent. Not a good mix for feasibility, but a nice idea in theory nonetheless.

Andrew mysteriously goes missing (for real) and he left in his final will that no one is allowed to touch HOMESTUCK, but asks someone to keep the site up for 5 years as a final request. No one adds any thing to MSPA. Until Andrew resurfaces 2-3 years later and resumes writing HOMESTUCK, but due to the lack of activity no one pays attention to the site and misses out on the ending because, the site went down due to the fact that Hussie went bankrupt due to a lack of ad money, closes the site for good and is sold off to be a slave; somewhere in the Congo, or Atlantis; and his job is to serve The Imperious Condesencion (haven't memorized the spelling) as the "Aristocratic Handicrafter" (handicrafter is a synonym for artist) or the "Authrout Highborn" (or some crazy name with AH for Initials).

I will be genuinely dissatisfied if we don't get to see the 10 remaining ancestor trolls, and that may very well not happen. An even more realistic scenario is we get to see them, but they are never developed or have any lines whatsoever.

Maybe Hussie will use the pre-scratch trolls as a catalyst for setting the other characters on major development arcs or as a way of finishing their arcs that they've already started and start on a redemption arc for fixing what they've done and coming away with some sense of deserved happiness. Basically each of the ancestors helps their Descendent realize what it is they need to work on like they've already gone through the process and know what went wrong, why, and how to advert it. Then they won't really need allot of character development asides from that little that is naturally going to be included in the action of including the pre-scratch trolls. I honestly can see something like that happening in Homestuck.

Lately, I been thinking that if the dreaded "Comic Loops Back In On Itself" ending happens, it would now include another step: the kids and remaining trolls create the Cherub's universe instead. Then uu and UU play their session and manage to successfully finish it. THEY create universe A1. Then uu says he wants a more challenging game, somehow hacks and screws up Sgrub for the A1 trolls making it too hard for them, they have to scratch their game, yadda yadda, comic has looped.

I think it sounds a bit better than the kids just making universe A1, but I'd still rather not see the comic end on a loop like that. I'd rather it end on them kicking these loops to the curb and making their own destinies.

The worst I can think of is that when everything is climaxing, everything goes black and the next scene shows that John is waking up from a dream

Maybe that or that Hussie gives up on Homestuck mid-way or something (I really hope that this won't happen.. .__. )

The worst ending is that Hussie gets tired of writing the comic, and does the aforementioned cameo to say that he's sick and tired of trying to please the fandom, but hey, you guys want an ending, so he just picked five random ones from this thread, illustrated them, and then gave you a select screen.

I've had a sickening feeling that it'll end with the beginning. What I mean by that is, maybe the first page of Homestuck will be the end. There's just so much paradox stuff and time travel... Andrew is probably gonna troll us somehow. That, or it could end with everyone dying to save the universe. Or maybe the universe will just die... in a tragic fashion that'll make us all cry. ._.
