Anything expected.
Anything that doesn't leave us entirely satisfied.
Any part of SBURB turning out to have been "just a game".
I think it would be that EVERYTHING EXPLODES BOOM
The Post-scratch kids creating pre!scratch Alternia
I don't care about the bi-furication theme, i don't care about a super callback to the double mobius reacharound, i don't care if they somehow end the loop (that would be even worse).
It's a stupid, generic ending that would pretty much kill all the AUs ever and miss the whole fucking point of SBURB as a universe creating device.
I would say No Ending. That is, Homestuck is discontinued for whatever reason, and we never find out why Lord English is doing what he's doing or how the story concludes. Sure, we have our imaginations, but it just ain't the same.
Also, the whole "It was all a dream" ending. Or a kid staring at a snowglobe.
I sorta feel like the discontinued ending already happened to some selfish extent, which is why my "Nothing major changes in the cast" is my worst case realistic ending.
The worst Homestuck ending is the Mass Effect 3 ending.
Because that is the worst ending.
Pretty much this. Unfortunately, seeing as how everyone has different tastes, "Anything that doesn't leave us entirely satisfied" doesn't completely work, so AH will probably just shoot for something that leaves most people entierly satisfied. The thing to do then is determine if you are one of the members of that specific majority.
I constantly mention this, but my feelings for the worst ending to Homestuck if it ended like The Dark Tower. It worked perfectly there, but here, I'd literally track Hussie down and throttle him alive, I'd be so angry.
I'd also hate it if the kids had to sacrifice themselves in order to save the day. That would suck. Big time.
To avoid confusion, but not by much ------>'should have', 'could have', 'might have', 'would have'. Hoo hoo hoo, mm.
This is going to sound really cheesy, but the ending would suck if there's no big friendship-type development among the original kids. It feels like they've grown further and further apart, though there really isn't much they can do about it sometimes. I just feel like they should come together and kick some ass, have some character development, and be awesome
Also, I feel like the sprites have generally been cast aside, too. I'd like to see a highlight with them before the end.
But as far as a worst ending scenario goes, I don't think the whole thing being a game would be the worst possible ending. It would probably really piss me off, but I think that saying that it is the worst ending would be like a challenged to Hussie xD
Make her a member of the Midnight Crew!
This might acctualy work if done right.
However, what if there was a twist?
After they walk away from the screen, it shows their universe being created, and then lord english enters their universe, and they have to revive their counterparts and merge with them, becoming 4 instead of 8, and fighting Lord English with the trolls, and saving the multiverse.
Though as for worst ending, if that was it, then I'd be mad too.
John wakes up in a hospital bed. His father is standing there, watching his son. tearful reunion, embracing. John asks what happened. John's dad says that he and his friends all played a game. It defied all reality and logic, and created a new universe. In essence, they would have won. However, from the universe that created them, blah blah blah recap, He's in this new universe. John is now 15, and in the resulting game, he gained the powers of breath and wind.
At the cost of his arms.
John looks down and sees his arms.
His dad is holding up the harliquin, with the fake arms attached.
Laughter.
The world is real.
In this Spoiler is my dark collection of black magic, Opening it releases the forces of light and dar- ...You misclicked on it didn't you.
Oh man this one's also kind of dumb but I will be pissed if it ends without full descriptions of all the classes and aspects for god tiering.
That's not even an ending though, I'm doing this wrong.
I pretty much think Hussie's got this. I'll be impressed if he actually manages to fuck up since he's demonstrated such a tight grip on such a ridiculously expansive story so far, for the most part.
I will also be mad if there isn't a reference to POSIN' AS A TEAM at the end. Other than that, I'm not worried.
An ending where everything stays the same, LE turns out to be a necesity, the horrorterrors and SBurb are justified, and the game's cycle continues forever. And this is portrayed as a good thing.
THIS. ARRRGH!An ending where everything stays the same, LE turns out to be a necesity, the horrorterrors and SBurb are justified, and the game's cycle continues forever. And this is portrayed as a good thing.![]()
Also: This is justified by use of symbolism and analogies for growing up and accepting the way life is.
The worst ending for Homestuck would be a massive and epic flash that my computer doesn't actually have enough RAM to play.
The Monster-A-Go-Go ending: "As if a switch had been turned, as if an eye had been blinked, as if some phantom force in the universe had made a move eons beyond our comprehension, suddenly, there was no trail. There was no giant, no monster, no thing called "Lord English" to be followed."
Your chumhandle is misanthropicRusk and you can never figure out what to type in these and then you feel bad about yourself and life in general.
but thats okay you guess because you already felt bad about them
That's already been partially cashed in, I think. Eridan's consorts described Jack Noir as "the lord of all angels". He sure as hell fit the description of a "horrible feathery demon" and he most definitely did usher in the end of at least one universe.
what if they create two universes, one perpetuating the cycle and one escaping it????? youre not allowed to not care about [topologist] [n-tuple] [indecency] when its an enormous part of the story
i would like this to be the ending, as long as he does something like this page, and then a real flash.
on the note of bad endings, Andrew hussie dies in real life and fan-artists continue the story and kill him off in comic as well.
