Actually, the angle of his clothing is blocking it from sight.
> Notice the figure behind you
You sniffle while hunched over your mother's still form, only to be brought out of your daze by a sharp pain in the back of your neck, like something piercing your thick reptilian-esque hide.
You clutch your neck and turn around.
Your head is starting to feel dizzy, and it's hard for you to focus. Before you stands a tall being with glowing red eyes and thick wrinkly skin. You take a panic'd step backwards, tripping over the figure of your mother and collapsing onto the floor.
> Wake up!
You jump up, the fear you experienced in the nightmare causing adrenline to course through your body. But it wasn't just a nightmare, it was a memory from your childhood...
> Open the door and get out of here
Your head is clear and your goal is certain. You have to get out of here. In your pained daze earlier, you must have overlooked the door. Your claws dig through the thin wood of the door, and you pull hard.
Well, you honestly weren't expecting escape to be that easy, so the brick wall comes as nothing of a surprise. However, the two envelops that are taped to the wall cause you to pause for a moment in your adrenaline fueled escape.
You have no wish to see what They have to say to you in those envelopes. But it could be something useful for your escape...

>You've now got an entire door in your hands. Go smash the camera with it..and for that matter, try and get rid of that barrier between you and the other guy while you're at it. Maybe you can help each other out.

PersonS-like Persona, but not | An Aranor Adventure-high fantasy and adventure | Odd One Out-3 best friends, a kidnapped girl, an evil king, and elves | Beasts-a tale of survival | The Longest Flashback-fantasy noir, or something like that | GUIH-raising a dragon is harder than it sounds. | MageBound-Fantasy+"Stuck" | Creation-wherein the readers are the mind of a universe's omnipotent god | The College of Magic-pretty much what it says on the tin
>: Look Through the Glass
He presses his nose against the cold glass divider to take a look at the irrational being on the other side. The tall creature certainly is strong...
==>
There is something familiar about the tall one... Where has he seen him before? A memory tugs at the edge of his mind.
Surely he is not the only one with any useful insight?

We already tried that, remember?
>Find something to write on if you can write, and to write with, and hope he can read. Scratching a message into the side of a cabinet or even (backwards) on the glass itself with your nails/claws would suffice.
EDIT: Also, the flashing frames by themselves, in case anyone's as curious as I was:

So he forgets things when he 'switches personae'? Do we have confirmation of that?

But he was aware that changing his clothes was a thing that happened, wasn't he? Otherwise he wouldn't have been able to pick a costume and would've just suddenly been like "oh, what am I doing here" all over again the first time his clothes changed. I suspect it's more that the 'this one' persona didn't feel inclined to look at every little detail, whereas this one noticed some things that one didn't (or at least thinks it did).

But why would he even mention the room once again if not for the fact that he was asking the same questions that he did from his previous persona? Another thing is that he described the glass wall twice the same way. When he looked at our lizard guy, he sounds as if he doesn't know who he actually is. Yet finds him familiar. Of course, it could be just as likely that they had met beforehand, but that's probably unlikely because it doesn't seem that our lizard guy knows this dog person.
Actually, he examined his collar once before the costume switch, and again afterwards, both times he found himself surprised and shocked at finding a metal collar on his neck. I don't believe that you'd be shocked twice just from a change of clothes or demeanor. It's definitely something more.
Edit: Also, maybe we shouldn't use this thread as a way to argue over the character, let's just see how it goes and think about it from there.
> Inspect the envelopes anyway
You set the door down and pull the envelopes off the wall. One of the envelopes is heavier than the other, and seems to contain a small object.
You pull open both of the sealed envelopes and inspect their contents. Inside the heavier one is a single small key, and the other has a letter with an odd phrase on it. You briefly ponder what this could mean before your mind goes blank.
> Try to get rid of that barrier
> Go smash the camera
> While you're at it, go teach that bed slab a lesson
> Look over the aftermath
After several moments of this odd blank daze you were in, you blink the haze from your eyes and... what the hell? What just happened in here? Did you do all of this? And why can't you remember?
Damn it what is going on with your head?!

Yeah, I saw that too Xander.
Um..

Did anyone else notice Rayne's eyes?

Wow. What the heck is up with his eyes? Or rather, was.
Same symbol in his eyes as was on the key.
huh
>Dog: Seek notes of your own.

You're right, I didn't notice it on the key.

>: Consider the hulk.
Once again, the one on the other side is behaving really radically. And not radical as in cool like those kids in 90's sports films. Although they are violent and irrational as well.
>: Every key has a lock.
This small silver key belongs to an old fashioned refrigerator. It is a relic of a time when people would actually lock their fridges. People were hungry but crime rates for prime ribs were way down.
Surely he is not the only one with any useful insight?
>:_
Rayne's side of the fridge has a lock, this side doesn't, from what I can tell.
Also, the double helix sign appears a lot, including on the nightstand by the bed... which seems to have a slot or hole in the top of it? What is that, Rayne?
