Nobody's talked about a shitty reality show yet?
Keeping up with the Homestuckians
The Bachelor: Paradox Space Edition
Alternia Shore
Homestuck's Next Top Model
14 Trolls and Counting
...you get the point...
Or Jegus- Homestuck the Japanese game show. [O]_[O]
Or Homestuck the telenovela!
No, see, these are excellent ideas. I would totally watch reality shows if they were Homestuck-themed.
Also, Japanese game shows are already amazing and Homestuck would make them better.
I'd actually listen to a Homestuck indie album. (Dubstep, not so much.)
Hell, I'd record a Homestuck indie album if I could. Maybe once I learn to fucking sing. And write music. And play the ukulele. (It'd be a free album, natch.)
The land of the ice and snow, from the midnight sun where the hot springs glow.

No no, not like the current Homestuck albums.
More like retelling the story VIA songs, a la the Protomen.
Except less awesome and more bipolar switching between Indie and Dubstep with little regard for any logic.
Maybe we should start a thread for best adaptations? Because a lot of the stuff on this thread is pure liquid science magic.
Feel free. Maybe if we go into detail the awfulness will become more apparent. Like I did, in a previous thread:

and is NOTINTERESTEDINDARKARTSNONOTINDEEDPLEASEDON'TBESAT ANISTANDDODRUGSKIDS
Dave gives the kids an unironically cool teenage role-model, is a watered-down version of a badass, and makes forced pop-culture references with totally radical slang. Jade is there for the girls to relate to, displays mary-sue traits, and wields a pink laser super-soaker.
.The Trolls: Vriska is a typical femme-fatal that john has a (frequently made fun of by the others) crush on. Karkat is a gloomy-bear who only serves as always-hungry and complaining comic relief. Terezi is a crazy mentor hermit who speaks in riddles. Kanaya in another mentor, who talks in romantic shakespearian for some reason. Sollux is an aloof rival for dave. Feferi acts like AN EVEN MORE OVER THE TOP AMERICAN GENKI-GIRL. Eridan is the hybrid of a french/spanish/itallian hopeless romantic, and a pirate. Equius sounds exactly like how how he does when Nepeta roleplays as him. Nepeta is the girliest girly girl this side of the first My Little Pony show. Tavros has an informed confidence problem at first, but just needs to believe in himself and is fine by the end. Aradia never died, but got her soul sucked out, which I don't need to state is actually more horrifying. Gamzee talks like the unholy offspring of a censored beatnik and a censored hippy.
.The carapaces: The black king is the evil overlord who is just in it FOR THE EVULZ. The black queen is the show's back-up femme fatal. The midnight crew are all bumbling henchmen (SS is a bad Edward G Robinson impression, DD is british and snooty, HB is just a brute, CD is the basically the same). WV is annoying comic relief. AR, PM, and WQ are all mentor-types. WK is the bland Big Good.
.Other: Doc Scratch is a stereotypical bond villain. LE is a FORCE OF PURE EVIL that is behind everything.
.Problem sleuth: PS, AD, and PI are totally exaggerated versions of themselves. MK is a bad Marlon Brando impression.
That LE part didn't turn out to be too far off.

Homestuck: the Linkin Park Song. It would go like this, "Angst, Angst, Angst./ Angst, Angst, Angst./ ANGST, Angst, Angst./ "It's tough being a Homestuck Character. It's hard and nobody understands."/ Aaaaaaaannnnnnnnggggggggsssssssstttttttt."
And only just now do I realize how funny a word "Angst" is...I think I'm going to keep saying it. Only in a really happy tone of voice.
Don't take life so seriously. Nobody gets out alive.
Your screen name is midfieldAttorney You tend to deliver your words in a rather blunt, deadpan fashion. You prefer subtle sarcasm, but as the internet lacks a way to effectively communicate this, you don't do it as often. You can occasionally get a bit silly, but even when you do you still maintain the deadpan. You prefer it when people type with good spelling and grammar, but so long as they're not compulsively typing l1k3 th1s you're okay with it. Without your friends, you would probably drift into prepdom, so you don't always get internet related things. You hope that people are patient with you being a dumb prep.
You have completely rational hatred of Linkin Park, Zooey Dechenel, mimes, Twilight, your french class, mimes, onions, mimes, people who take shipping seriously, Hipsters, mimes, mimes, mimes...
You like sports and school (especially Chemistry and Physics), but you know that if it came down to your soccer ball versus your Mock Trial case book, the ball is going to get it.
While I would not watch this show, I would gladly write it.
Homestuck: the Statistics Problem Set
8.4.13. Refer to the Dersite Quarterly magazine data in Problem 5 of Chapter 6. The relationship between the number of deaths (Y), Awakened Heroes (X2), and number of hours Spades Slick walked the streets per week (X3) was studied in that problem. The results of the regression of murders on awakened heroes, hours of Spades Slick, and kilograms of candy corn consumed per capita (X1) are presented next. Use this output and the output from Problem 5 in Chaper 6 to answer the following questions.
[/SAS OUTPUT]
a. Given that this is an eight-player session, is regression the appropriate analysis method? If so, why? Do the assumptions for multiple linear regression appear to be met?
b. Test whether X1, X2, and X3, taken together, significantly help to predict the murder rate.
c. Test whether candy corn consumption is associated with the murder rate, after taking into account the contribution of Spades Slick hours and awakened heroes.
d. Should candy corn consumption be included in the model to control for confounding? Explain your answer, including any appropriate tests of interaction you used in reaching your answer.
I was going to say Homestuck as a Salvador Dalí film because it would be so gosh-darn nonsenical, but it probably would make even more sense if it was a surrealist film lol.
movie, beyond a doubt. imagine the studio workshopping it.
so we're real big fans of housestuck. huge, huge fans. but we have a few small changes we'd like to make. first, wisecracking animal sidekicks. kids love 'em, merchandising loves 'em, everyone loves 'em. but I'm not seeing any in here. so I'm thinking... hank azaria as casey. great, yeah? 'course it is. next, all these chicks. we've done focus groups and, well, no one wants two hours of a bunch of chicks talking. blah blah blah, boring. so can we maybe get them to drop some snarky one liners and roll their eyes a lot? yeah great 'course we can. okay finally, I doubt I need to tell you that 3D is huge right now. so what we were thinking is..
