Yeah, pretty much this.
In the end I voted for rose though because of the awesomeness of when Rose descends onto the castle, accompanied by some of the most beautiful music in all of Homestuck, followed by walking through the castle in order to find Jack and make him pay for his crimes, all the while seeing all the misery that he's caused. While Roxy has the gorgeous Sleepwalk flash Rose plays a key role in that one too so she still comes out on top.
Also, her God tier and Grimdark outfits are two of the most, if not the two most beautiful outfits in the entire comic.

Personally, I'd say Jade isn't a Mary Sue because of her rich and complex character, but that's just me.

The Lalondes are simply the best
That's really all there is to say about that

3: Dirk, because swords and what is he even talking about, and ability to relate to him

Dave. He's funny, his issues are interesting and something I find kind of relatable, and I really like time travel, especially how Homestuck handles it. I mean, I love all the kids a ton, Dave just edges the rest out.

Completely coincidentally and for totally different reasons, Dirk has become my favorite alpha kid. I just have a Strider thing, I guess!
