Drawn out, narrative-wise, doesn't necessarily mean drawn out, real-world-time-wise.

A person can think that a narrative cannot sustain its own length even if, compared to other things, it is shorter than them.

That being said, there is a hell of a lot of reading in Homestuck. Much more than, say, a Gunnerkrigg Court. So the point is moot.
Check out my webcomic: The Amazing and Remarkably True Adventures of Kim and Amy. It'll probably be fun.

Wow. How are we coming so close? MSPA should be curbstomping.

I would like to point out that if you haven't read gunnerkrigg court yet, go do it. Now. NOW. GO FUCKING READ GUNNERKRIGG. THE POWER OF HUSS COMPELS YOU.

    Only 170 votes ahead anymore.

Unless Tumblr shoots into action, we're going to lose this I'm afraid.

    Ahead by 123, and lessening.

Re: Vote for MSPA in Polls - We're Gunning for MARCH MADNESS

    I voted for Gunnerkrigg Court.

Sorry guys, i believe it needs more popularity than MSPA. We're already big. GC needs more advertisement and this poll will help them.

Sorry for betraying MSPA. HS will be forever in my heart.

I know GC could use the popularity more, but I see this poll as something to determine which webcomic you deem better.

I mean, if I was voting out of sympathy I'd vote for GC. But just for better, I'm voting for Homestuck.

Also, a lot of people now know that GC is popular AND have started reading, as seen in some of the comments during the different rounds. And it has received some money as well.

Not that I'm saying YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULDN'T VOTE FOR GC, of course. :P

Watch as, right at a 1 vote difference, Hussie posts a link on Tumblr again.

Yikes; there's only a four votes difference. C'mon, we need to get more support!

    Thirty votes now.

Oh man, oh god, oh man, oh god, oh man

I'm doing everything I can by blogging, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything while so many people reblogged me in round 3.

    Only 1-2 have right now.

If Homestuck loses this round then we gotta endorse the everloving balls out of Gunnerkrigg.

Agreed. Especially since I suspect a number of GC votes might be goblins fans trying to secure an easy win.

It could also be that people are voting against MSPA, even though they haven't read GC, because of all the complaints they've seen in the comments about it. And then there are the people who don't consider MSPA a webcomic even though they like it. And also the people who love MSPA, but want to to support the author of GC.

It's more that they don't consider it a webcomic because it's much more than that. Usually, "webcomics" don't use Flash or gifs.

Which is funny because looking at the vote totals, that's pretty much what would happen. It looks like only just enough MSPA fans are switching over to support GC to knock out MSPA, while most of the people showing up for the right bracket seem intent on backing Goblins in the finals even if they voted OotS this round. Unless Hussie posts specifically about voting for GC in the finals, it'll probably be Goblins by a landslide.

Well, we're up by 130 with around 12 hours to go; with the early voters getting their votes back soon, I think we might be able to pull it off.

Y'know, the more I think about it, don't see why we can't just ask Hussie to donate his winnings to Tom, since he suggested supporting him in the first place.

No, they are both good. Gunnerkrigg Court is shorter, if only because it doesn't update 5 times a day.

Plus Tom Siddell dedicates a lot more time to each individual page, borrows from a bunch of really cool mythological sources, keeps a consistent sense of mystery and intrigue, and puts a lot of style into everything he does.

Gunnerkrigg Court is definitely worth voting for.
