it still looks like the Homestuck/Gunnerkrigg vote total would dominate the other side of the bracket, though.

the other side weren't motivated enough to make their grandma vote.

The fact that Andrew didn't feel the need to even mention this round certainly suggests that he doesn't really care that much.

I think the reason he didn't is because of the "who needs it more" debate.

At first I thought we'd vote so hard we'd break the site, clear the databases, and force a retally due to data loss.

That would have been pretty epic, but I'm sure the finale will be just as catastrophically headache-inducing for the mods, so we should just let them handle the migraines that are sure to follow.

The most sad thing about losing this competition is, in my opinion, that there are so many haters in the comments who don't even give it a decent shot and think that it sucks.

If we had gotten further, we could have shown that Homestuck truly deserves to be viewed as a WEBcomic.

Please DO NOT do this. This is a trivial internet poll, which was won fairly by a good comic done by a nice guy. I can think of no worse advertisement for homestuck than to drown these guys in complaints; moreover graciousness in defeat is a better way to show support for homestuck than voting ever will be.

Personally, I would encourage people to pop in to the GKC forums and congratulate them. It was well deserved. To win something like this, against homestuck's ridiculously large fanbase, goes to show how esteemed GKC is amongst the webcomic community.

Also I'm glad I voted GKC. I think I would be more distraught if GKC suddenly ended, than if MSPA did, but possibly because I love Andrew and want to give him the chance to go outside for the first time in three years. (Second time in 6 or so)
