CLICK HERE TO SUPPORT MSPA IN MARCH MADNESS, GOING ON RIGHT NOW.

You can vote every 24 hours, so please do so!

    Howdy!
Just got linked by the Girl Genius facebook feed to a poll the Washington Post website is doing on the most popular webcomics out there:
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...q0vR_blog.html

Vote for your favourite! Since I went there about 5 minutes ago, the Girl Genius posting has bumped them up from 20% to 22%, where Homestuck is trailing at a mere 2%! Show them what's really the best comic on the web!!

Re: Washington Post Best Webcomic Poll

    This is vitally important!
However, it will get NO traffic on this board.

Mayhaps this should be moved to the MSPA board?

Re: Washington Post Best Webcomic Poll

Homestuck is a story, not a webcomic! We read MSPaintAdventures.

Regardless, moving this for maximum visibility. I like winning things.

Welp, we have over 50% now. I was going to do a promotional video but it looks like that isn't even needed.

We'll. see. I am sure the rest of these webcomics dont know about this poll yet. when the XKCD fans, and the penny arcade fans find it... werea going to have some serious challenge. Still. we should be reblogging this poll on our tumblrs and stuff, it's still open till like, the end of the month.

see, this thread has only 97 views. there have been over homestuck 2000 votes.

Something else is causing this surge.

I did just cling prolly ~10 votes off of the #mspa IRC channel... but, thats not it either.

Infact, its getting kinda scary. 53%... people might start sympathy voting/troll voting other things to knock homestuck.

We'll see. I feel like Homestuck has the advantage of having not only a large fanbase, but also a devoted one, thanks to its continuity and scope (this probably applies to Girl Genius as well). Sure, lots of people read and enjoy gag-a-day strips like Penny Arcade, but how many of them actually care enough about them to think OH MY GOD YOU GUYS WE'VE GOT TO WIN THIS POLL?

(I mean, I could be wrong. The answer might be "a whole lot.")

When I saw this I immediately voted.

But yeah, other webcomics will probably get more votes than they have now when their devoted fandoms find out about the poll.

I think Homestuck has a good chance of staying ahead though.

Is the voting still open? I see nothing vote-like or poll-like on the WashPost link the OP provided, just some explanatory text and hyperlinks to all the comics.

Haha, I saw this yesterday and Homestuck only had a meager percentage, and I was sad. I somehow had the misconception that Homestuck had the best fanbase.

Then I checked again today and we suddenly have the appropriately overwhelming majority. Homestuck is the internet. We are Homestuck. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us.

Hey, look what I found through one of the other web comics I frequent. I will just leave this here for reasons / to have it picked up by tumblr regulars.

Wow, there have been 8972 votes and 60% of them are for Homestuck.

That's 5383 Homestucks, give or take a Homestuck or two.

You do not deserve to be called a Homestucker, traitor.

But yeah, we probably got the lead since we were informed of this poll. Looking at the other webcomics, I'm sure that there would be a lot more votes in total if their fandoms were alerted.

I made sure to vote for MSPA, along with a few others I enjoy. YES! SatW is quite high on there.

But still on the original one, remember to vote early and vote often. Only 60% so far?
