Cisic jumps ~5 feet down (south?) then readies himself to intercept Goblin 1 with stabs when they move for either him or Simon.

You, at that point, are within reach of goblin 1. In fact, technically, you would now hit goblin 1 on goblin 1's turn just because he happens to exist in that space. I'm just going to go ahead and say you hit goblin 1, okay?
Cisic stabs at goblin 1 and the blow lands, cutting into it, but not deeply.
Here's a couple of rules that are coming up here that might be pertinent to this situation:
Attacks of opportunity are where a character may attack outside of their turn any time another character does something distracting such as attacking when unarmed or when a character moves through squares they threaten. Ursa are considered to always be armed thanks to their claws, by the way. When Grigor moved past goblins 1 and 2 to get to 3 the first two were able to hit him out of turn. Only one of those may be performed by a character per round so if someone else already caused one, you may move through their threatened squares without incident.
Sneak attacks may be performed by anyone with any light weapon such as a dagger so long as they are flanking the target. That means the square directly opposite their own has an ally in it who is also threatening the target. If goblin 1 moved 5 feet to the right, it could incur, if Grigor chose to use the opportunity, an attack of opportunity and would now be flanking Grigor thanks to goblin 2 being on the other side. Grigor would lose his Dexterity bonus against their attacks making him easier to hit, but the light weapons the goblins wield are considered medium to them since the goblins themselves are so small.
It's Grigor's turn.
So pretty much like D&D, i take it. And no sneak attacking undead and the like, ofcourse?
I really should see about getting a new signature.
Yeah, I wasn't thinking about all the hits Grigor would take as he moved... well, he's holding up for now as far as I can see.
Grigor hacks at Goblin 3 with his claws some more. All the blows he's taken are starting to aggravate him if not worse. "Gonna... chop... the... death out of you... curse it!"
Simon continues choking Goblin 2.

Alright, now i'll cast my spell on the ghoul, and move within better range

The new rule, to let wizards be more active instead of passively sitting around chanting, is you don't need to chant. Each round after the first that you chant gives bonus to the chance of success reaching a maximum after 6 rounds. More powerful spells being cast by lesser casters might require this bonus, but minor spells only need it to make sure they cast. So you can quick cast, but it's less likely to work.
Nix casts his spell and the ghoul appears to be stunned, letting its guard down.
Goblin 3 looks rather hurt, but takes another stab at Grigor. He misses.
Aesop's turn.
So one could just say 'oh hey fireball' on any given turn, but with an increased chance of failure?
I really should see about getting a new signature.
Exactly. It's to let casters, when in a pinch, cast what they need, but still require time for casting more difficult spells. Hopefully it's the best of both worlds with no possibility that you'll just end up standing around chanting forever and I won't have to change the rule again. I just want magic to be difficult or at least time consuming, but produce spectacular results when it succeeds.
Makes sense. I assume you wont give us the percentages for success?

Aesop glares at the little white cloud in the air, then pockets his air and water catalysts and pulls out his hand musket while moving closer to the ghoul.
Do you want it? I guess you could PM me the action and I could tell you the chance of success. In this case you were casting Basic Moon magic, something your character is very good at, against a pretty much brain dead foe. You had a %70 chance of success.
k. How close? Your Mundane flintlock pistol has a range increment of 20 feet. Also, you don't exactly have line of sight with the ghoul. Marc is in the way.
I want to be about 18 or 19 feet from the ghoul and I will move towards the opposite side of the ghoul from Mabel. Going by the map probably around L8-L9.
Is the cut bad enough that it seriously threatens Cisic's life right now?
If so, he retreats and assumes a defensive stance.
If not/if he can work through it, then Cisic will instead show Goblin 1 his stabs.
You're fine. Peppy even. The armor absorbed most of the damage. Cisic attempts to acquaint goblin 1 with the pointy end of his dagger. He fails and just stabs the goblin in the side instead, damaging it a bit.
It's Grigor's turn.
Still trying to tear up Goblin 3 with Grigor's claws and whatnot.
Simon punches the nearest goblin as hard as he can.

Simon punches goblin 2 in the chest, but the blow doesn't get past the armor. Goblin 2 takes advantage and stabs Simon, cutting into his side.
Goblin 2 pulls out his knife and plunges it deep into the same wound. A combination of inebriation and internal bleeding causes Simon to fall unconscious.
Marc backs 10 feet away from the ghoul.
Nix's turn.
Are there any enemies that dont stand in melee with something or that i otherwise dont have a chance to hit one of my allies if i throw knives at them?
