All right. In honor of my 100th post, I submit this brief story to the Vriskathread, and to Homestuck fans in general. Hope you like it.

Vriska woke slowly, eyelashes fluttering as she cleared the sleep from her eyes. Where am I? she thought, as she fought to bring the world into focus. And what happened? Last thing I remem8er...

It all came back in a rush. John, Terezi, the flip. The pain. Oh sweet Jegus the pain. Vriska lifted a hand to the center of her chest. No mark remained on her body. What was going on?

She lifted her head, and took a look around. The room was dimly lit, and completely windowless. Not surprising for a meteor, window space was at a premium around here. She wore her bright orange God Tier outfit, with slits still present in the back and front, where she'd been stabbed. To her left, she heard a voice.

"MoThErFuCkIn MiRaClEs."

Gamzee. Nobody else spoke quite like him. He'd cleaned up a bit since Vriska had last seen him. He wore a white lab coat, stained with an unidentified bright green substance. Sitting on his knee was a puppet, dressed all in purple, with a gold tooth.

Gamzee turned towards another of the deep beds like the one Vriska lay in. The puppet followed suit. I have to get out of here, Vriska thought. From the next bed over, she heard another distinctive voice, belonging to Equius. Deeper into the room, another mind presented itself to her probing consciousness.

"MoThErFuCkIn MiRaClEs."

Gamzee again. What that clown was doing, Vriska didn't know, and she had no intention of sticking around to find out. She pushed herself out of the bed, and floated up into the air with a powerful flap of her delicate wings.

Gamzee turned. The scars on his face had healed since she'd seen him last, thin lines trailing down the other troll's face. An expression mixing shock and awe crossed his face, but quickly turned to fear as her dice appeared glowing in her hand. He dove for the door, trying to block her escape.

"VrIsKa..." came the faltering voice. He wouldn't escape her this time. Vriska turned her hand, sending the dice tumbling.

"Vrriskers, don't!"

Vriska turned. Nepeta's upturned face was formed into a pout. "He saved our lives. Purrease?"

The dice tumbled, landing. One die down. Two. Three. Five. Seven. Vriska stuck her hand out, catching the eighth die before it could settle. "Allllllll right," she agreed, "8ut this 8etter 8e good."

The three trolls sat in the meteor's central lab, once the site of death. Now, it was the site of resurrection. Gamzee explained all that had happened while Vriska had lain unconscious. She, along with Nepeta and Equius, had died over a year ago, but had been preserved by the lab's ectobiology equipment. Gamzee, wracked by guilt, had spent that entire time searching for a solution. Today, it had finally worked.

Vriska sat in shock. Gamzee's story made sense. But more than a year? When she felt Terizi's blade stab through her chest, she had resigned herself to death. Now she had been given a second chance. She didn't intend to waste it. For the first time since she awoke, Vriska lowered her hood, releasing her mess of hair to cascade to the floor.

Vriska stood. She had business to attend to. Time to make up. People to deal with. She walked out of the lab without a backwards glance, a single thought and name in her head.

Terezi. Make her pay. Nothing was going to stand in her way this time.

The only way I can see a mass revival, with or without Gamzee's help, is if the trolls are somehow recruited/brainwashed into fighting for Lord English too, or something similar to that.

Look at that John Egbert, having to kill the brainwashed Vriska with his own hammer. How sad.

...either way while an interesting development, I'm not sure if we can get the character development we want out of it.

Like I said, traditionally it is the current host that decides who the new host will be. The only reason that didn't happen for the last thread is because I'd already decided by way of usurption that Dragonstorm would run this thread. We'll just have to hold onto our knickers and not get our hats in a twist.

We'll see if she has any interesting ideas. We've kinda been slacking off on the contests for the last few threads. By which I mean, pretty much all of the threads. I think I might have been the last person to actually win the OP, and that was for thread 3.
