Aha, that's fine. It's an odd name, so I understand. I mean, it could be pronounced Aes, AA-s, Ase, and other things.
I was sort of going to say it's like Ash without an 'h,' but that really just means it's pronounced like 'as'

I'm working on a post as we speak, actually.

After all these Grand Battles, I'm not at all used to having to deal with my characters ending up frozen in time between my own posts. It's sort of hard to work out how to respond to so many things all at once.

I posted my own profile as a sample profile in the OP, Trav, but I assume most skipped over it; I didn't expect you to commit my description of the character's appearance to memory, but you didn't have to write in that you didn't know.

*Character Name: Elise Denninger

*Appearance/Description: Appearing roughly nineteen or twenty years old, Elise stands at just-below average height for her age; she is relatively thin-framed, and her black hair is usually tied back in a frayed, lifting ponytail. Her face is softly shaped, and her eyes are of a true grey; her skin is somewhat tanned, but appears discolored in places. She tends to wear a pair of rimless eyeglasses due to slight farsightedness; though this is a staple of her appearance, she is, unlike many fictional characters, capable of changing clothes. Elise trends toward casual clothing, preferring jeans, light jackets, and tennis shoes over anything else.

*Abilities/Items/Weapons:
*Absorption: Elise possesses the ability to absorb energy and characteristics from objects, parts of the environment, and other entities. This affects her physical traits, as well as her appearance and the composition of her body, often drastically—using this ability grows more physically taxing the more extreme the change. Still, Elise's “forms” are humanoid, and never too far removed from her original appearance, though she has discovered that she can even persist when her structure is ostensibly completely inorganic.

*Resilience: Though not necessarily an exceptional ability, Elise tends to recover from minor wounds and physical pain relatively quickly, be it a function of her powers or simply a natural quality. Her physical strength is generally somewhat lacking, and though she is reasonably agile she is unskilled in combat due to lack of experience.

*Descartes: A sentient weapon that is apparently attuned to Elise's abilities; she was drawn to it upon entering one of the City's many curio shops. Her absorbed energy is focused through it, allowing it to drastically alter its own mass and makeup to form a suitable weapon for her current transformation if one is necessary. Though it can take the shape of simple ranged weapons, it prefers long knives and thin, rapier-like swords. Its default form is a flimsy dress sword, but it is capable of disguising itself when not energized; though its size and mass are variable, it can not take the form of anything that is not a weapon.

*Biography/History: The development of Elise's uncanny abilities at an early age helped the awkward, wandering child individuate. Fascination with the natural world—and the outside world in general—governed her life since her inadvertently absorbing energy from a simple plant turned her hair a wild green, and allowed her to glide along the breeze like a clipped blade of grass and produce brilliant ripples and waves of solar energy from nothing. As she grew older and progressed through school, she devoted her time to increasingly large projects regarding environmental activism, in her hometown as well as in neighboring cities; that is, when she wasn't honing her abilities.

Though she showed great potential as a college student, and had a bright future in energy management and environmental health, Elise would drop out after only a year. Tired of life in her area, she would take to the skies once more to explore the world, one massive playground with unlimited energy at her fingertips. Eventually, she happened upon The City, and was urged to stay by its diverse environment. Here, she tends to the tree called Yggdrasil and the rest of the park, and urges whatever force is in political control to devote more space to such wonders.

I've had Animus leave because that tech she's carrying will presumably be sold to an evil corp. of some sort, which we can then use to start leading into a bigger plot kinda deal, which was why Godbot and I started the fight scene in the first place. Well, that and to break up all that talking with some action.

Just letting y'all know what I'm planning to do with that.
