    Inverting text colors.

    Exactly what it says! Anyone got any tips?

    You're gonna have to be more specific. You want your browser to show text colors as the opposite of what they were intended to be? That is not so much a forum issue.

    No, I know how to do that. Just finding the opposite color of specific web colors (for a fanfic), maybe with another application...?

    Just calculate 0xffffff - [colour] to get it's inverse. I'm pretty sure the Window, Mac, and Linux default calculators are all capable of hexadecimal calculations.

    Ex. if you want to get the inverse of the colour gold (0xFFD700), calculate 0xFFFFFF - 0xFFD700, which is 0x0028FF.
    (The 0x denotes that I'm using hexadecimal, don't actually type the 0x prefix into the calculator- just put it on hexadecimal mode)

    You can also use some common colour words if you're so inclined, but that won't get you most of the Homestuck colours properly (Never type "yellow" for Sollux. It's illegible).

    There's also a color selector - it's the button between the "size" and "emoticons" for me in quick reply, but that might depend on your entry mode. using this theme it just looks like a letter A.

    Using a colour picker on another website like this and copying the #hexvalue is a good method.
