So I spent today at a ponyfan meetup party. We sang along with all the major songs, watched A Friend In Deed and a few random videos (Scootaquest, Pinkie's Brew, etc.), stared hungrily at each other's toy collections/customs, purchased various things from each other, and talked about ponies and other things. I learned that a unicorn's magic color is based on their eye color or occasionally their primary cutie mark color, and I got given an embroidered copy of Rarity's cutie mark and a pin with Rainbow Dash's. It was fun stuff! Y'all should try it if you get the chance.

(Hopefully none of you were there or I'd feel like kind of a jerk for not advertising myself at all. Oh well.)

Sounds like you had fun. I wish I could meet some more fellow fans in real life. I know a couple, but they are freshmen, and so are kind of lame, no matter how good their taste in Fandoms.

So, who had an extra hour they did not know what to do with today? I did, and it drove me a little crazy.

I just replaced the new episode I'd watch in my 'Late-Night-TV-Saturdays' with a couple of older episodes I hadn't watched yet. And as of one of these episodes (and as I mentioned above), I have now decided that Gilda is one of my favourite characters on this show.

And after that point, I moved on to a ton of other shows.

So I basically lived my life on my own terms and some fanworks may have snuck in the middle of the glorious anime about time travel I am currently watching...

Side Bitching, Though - It turns out that MLP is not available in the Canadian iTunes store. In fact, I don't think I've seen any DVDs for it (although merchandise is plentiful) and the only place that episodes air in my country is on fucking Treehouse television. It still has a bigger presence than Sym-Bionic Titan, however, which is almost non-existant in my country.

How come these big corporations make it hard for me to support their product legitimately while cracking down on illegal methods, I wonder?

Probably for the same reason they took so long to start releasing blind bags in the US, Triangle: because their marketing people don't deserve their positions.

I'd like to go to a meetup at some point. I think it may have to wait until I have my own car, and maybe my own dwelling-place, though. I'm not sure my parents would actually object to the whole "I heard about it on the internet from people I've never met" thing, but I'd rather not try to explain it to them.

I went to a few meetups, and I hated them. That sounds so much better than mine.


If I judged meetups just by brony meetups, I'd never leave the house... but since Homestuck meetups let me meet the love of my life... yeah...

I've been to 2 meetups, one was just a couple weeks ago, and both of them have been awesome. One thing that is absolutely essential, though, for a good meet is a good organizational crew. Without that, and some input from the people attending of course, the meet is probably going to be a flop.

Well I'm planning on attending Gala Con in Stuttgart this August. Asked MrPoniator if he wanted someone to travel with and might help out with the team lead of Legends of Equestria as a tech if needed. But haven't really planned this very far yet so it's more of a "if I can afford it by the end of June" type of thing.
