It was always my headcanon that John's hood billows out naturally courtesy of his breath powers. He inherits the Breeze, and it flows into his hood.

Contrastingly, Equius, being the Heir of Void, could have a hood that is always limp. Because he inherits Void (nothing) there is nothing there to give.

I don't think that we would even if he did. A fully realised Heir of Void may be protected from detection even by a reader with vision-infinifold.

No, Caliborn: Enter had normal Equius.

The gt's seen in Enter were Karkat, Feferi, Tavros, and Eridan.
It's getting hot in this coven.

okay in that case, better comparison would be karkat and dave.
except I think karkat had his hood down
then again so has Dave at times.

Not sure if this has been said already, but wouldn't 'Prince of Void' mean destroyer of nothing? That seems like a pretty useless role.

    Destroyer of Obfuscation, probably.

Destroyer of secrets, of the hidden, of emptiness, of meaninglessness. Other interpretations exist.

Or would destroy using it. I think I might've brought that interpretation up when I analyzed the list of titles a couple pages back. If not, here it is: If you destroy using Void, instead of straight up destroying Void, would it be like destroying Space? Or knowledge? Even more powerful, combat-wise, than destroying a secret, though that would be a good tactical power.

Another way Prince of Void could work is destroying through obfuscation. Keeping whatever opposes them from knowing about what could defeat them, or keeping them from seeing what you're doing against them. Sabotage, for example, would be a good use of such a power.

Alternatively, he who destroys using nothingness.

And considering how doomed timelines are absorbed into the void of the Furthest Ring and also how Void players seem to be able to naturally travel through the place, maybe Prince of Void characters could replicate Aradia's trick against the Black King.

Sweet, thanks. Slightly less canon question: if Waste of Space is a (semi)valid title, does that make Waste of Time one?

The fact that Waste is a joke and doesn't fit in with the 'naming style' of the other Class titles notwithstanding, there is nothing that restricts Classes from pairing up with any certain Aspect.

1 - Jokes have their way of being serious additions to canon anyhow.
2 - The naming style is pretty much "monosyllabic term someone can be called". Waste kind of fits.

As for what it does, this guy seems to be kind of on to it.

By style, I meant in the same way that there's a style to the symbols for each Aspect. Style. Waste is not a 'position' anyone can be. People can be Knights, or Seers, or Heirs, or Witches, but they can't be a Waste. And by that, I mean as a 'function'. Waste is not a function, it's more like a descriptor.

Waste is the absence of function.

And going by my definition, it's not a Class then. It's the absence of a Class.

Comparing joke titles, being a Gent is different from being a Waste in that the former can actually be considered as a 'function'.

An absence of a class? What does that even mean? That if he had a class, Hussie would be a Space player?
Anyway, I'm 99% certain now that Waste/Gent is an Active/Passive pairing.
The question is... what would a Gent do? (judging by this)

What would an Heir of Time do?

I also think that, as a Gent, you would be more inclined to make others better using your powers. If as in Gent, you mean Gentleman, then yes.

Your only ability would be to assist other players directly with your powers (seeing as a waste benefits himself more often according to that tumblr post). A Gent of Time would only be able to send other people back and forth through time, and a Gent of Space could only modify something if it would directly assist another player.
