I'm a one to update when I get done with panels (I draw comics that ain't forum adventures, so that delays Cs a bit). I've been told to have better update times. When would be good times of the day to update then?

Forum adventures, comics, and other redneck bullcrap:
I'm a redneck trapped with a accidental japanese-influenced username halp.
This has probably been asked 840194820948 times before, but...
Does anyone know what the exact font for the captchalogue and strife decks are?
I'm kind of stumped here and I'm a bit of a stickler for accuracy.
i know not everyone here is a fan of sburbventures but i'd reaaallly urge you to take a look at Thoughtstuck. Its a self insert that actually seems to be done in a meaningful way. He also went ahead and made all of his act 1 before he even posted a thread here. Several hundred pages and some impressive flashes all before he even showed it to anyone. that is dedication.
he also fully admits he's not too great at spriting but you will be hard pressed to find nicer animated pics
i mean check out
which is a full 69 frames of captchaloging
or the even more impressive
a whopping 124 frames for just the beginning of a pesterlog
One Hundred Twenty Four Frames.
like theyre hypnotically smooth and clean. I get caught up just watching Brad pick up crap and end up staring at that pic for several minutes.
Even if you don't plan on reading it, the dude has some serious skills that i think should go recognized
Despite the fact that that is indeed some really smooth animation, stuff like this should really go in the Favourite Adventures thread!
Whenever I see off-model canon style (but not quite) sprites I always get the terrible urge to offer Constructive Criticism. It's very hard being me.

I know it's not the proper place but DAMN that is impressive.
I mean, the first one could be done with tweening in photoshop relatively easy, but the second would require several points, and then tweening between those points. Nothing impossible, but it's the believability of it that's hard to do.
More importantly the guy just knows what he wants out of his image.
Anywho, I have a question (I'm a bottomless barrel of questions...) can you post in the advertising thread even if you're not in the cradle?
Or is there somewhere for non-cradle adventures to advertise? (other than sigs)
Your name is Sparrowsmith. Of course, it's not really, but you like to pretend that when online due to an inside joke which only you get. It's kind of ironic. Your Avatar was made by аshdenej, it is an awesome sparrow. You just posted something lame, like you always do. You don't mind this, because it was intentional.

Maybe we should make a thread for advertising. Like a "Here's my adventure and why you should read it" thread. Or maybe that's a terrible idea.
Your chumhandle is tracedSparks and you have no idea why you even have a chumhandle, as you have no chums who use Pesterchum.
You also have a text adventure that is always open to commands, LandLost.
I posted in the Advertisement thread once... but got nothing out of it.
And as far as adventure fatigue? I guess you could take a break for a while or something. Do something that you enjoy. Whenever I get tired of making updates, I busy myself with other things I need to do... like more drawing for a different comic, or just doodling for fun.
You could what I did with A.R.E.S. When I returned to updated and felt the fatigue, I did a serie of very long and fast railroaded updates till the climax and conclusion. Provided you have them. I think it's more satisfactory than leaving things unfinished?
Or maybe start working on another projects that's itching.
I go for the Cradle to find new adventures I can read the thread for, but for the main forum, the adventure's gotta have a mirror or other easy way to skip to the next updates, or else I won't be able to stand scrolling through endless posts on an 80-page topic just to find updates.
there have been exceptions (Songs We Sing comes to mind), but usually, if there's no mirror, I probably will be too impatient.
Both. (Though it may take me a while to get caught up with a long-running adventure, and I may read a lot of shorter adventures in the meantime.) And anyway, there are quite a few adventures in the general subforum that are still short enough to be quickly caught up with...

It's not too distracting if the updates themselves have either somewhere around the same amount or more animation in them.

Since we are apparently getting on the topic of linking posts together, I feel I should remind everyone: always use POST tags rather than URL! Not only is it shorter, but it is way less annoying for readers, as URL tags open up in a new tab. Compare:
I actually don't understand people who want a adventure that has recently started, yeah you get to comment on it closer to the start but at the same time, some adventures take a while to get anywhere, and with one that has been going on for a while you get plenty to enjoy, while the point of an adventure on this side of the forum is to have a part in it, I like a comic or story in general to be far along so I don't have to wait a few days to enjoy the next part. Maybe I am just bad at waiting but I like to keep going rather then stop contently. As for linking, I have been tempted myself but can't seem to get it to work for a specific post.

Practice adventure, not very well thought out admittedly but give suggestions anyway. It will make my art more awesome in the long run.
In the works of a new system.
Thank you very very much for this tip. I'd just started linking my adventure together and it'd have been hell to go back and change it all once I'd finished.
Better to cut the workload now!
And... Zolen, if nobody helped out young adventures there wouldn't be any old adventures. And there is something to be said for seeing a 'venture bloom and grow under your watchful eye.
((Possible Homestuck spoilers, maybe??))
So... how long until the first
fan adventures start popping up?
