This 1000%. I have to be honest, when I saw the first few episodes and then actually played the game I was horrendously disappointed at how not over the top it was. But now it kind of has gotten more over the top so... yay? I do play the DS and GBA game(s) on occasion, but usually I just use an infinite DP cheat, buy all of the cards, and mess around for a while. I'm not rich enough to buy millions of packs and play with buddies, though.

TBH, I hate the summoning without levels thing. I would always at least abide by that when I played, and I've had some nice duels lately.

I also thought that any normal summoned monster couldn't attack the turn it was summoned. Apparently it can whoa holy crap

Yeah, it's only Magic that has that stipulation as far as I know, Pepper. Though, I do sometimes wish Yugioh did that.

Currently I'm running with a Mist Valley deck. It's bouncing effect is quite fun, and it very rarely puts me in a bad spot. I have a lot of other decks too though, as my friend recently gave me all the cards he wasn't using, and I sorta deck built splurged. There's now 11 in total, but only 5 main decks that I really play with. The other main ones that I sorta rotate out are Dragons, Zombies, Nordic, and Warriors. It really depends on the opponent I'm facing which I'll use.

Re: The Yu-Gi-Oh Thread, Because There Isn't Another One (I Checked)

Hey, I haven't heard much form this thread lately, and I am sad about that.

Anyway, I recently finished a custom playmat that I've been trying to finagle for about a month now, and it turned out really good. Keep in mind this was done entirely with Sharpies, and a fabric pencil to sketch out/outline the various things. I apologize in advance for the camera's crappy quality.

I based it off of a huge tag mural from a DS game called The World Ends With You, a rather odd JRPG by Square Enix.

But yeah, I'm pretty proud of it, considering it was completely white before. I know it needs some work on the black still, but my only black Sharpie I got has pretty well died. It' not dead yet, but it's close...So, what do you guys think?

It's an interesting proposal. A card game where you make up the ruales as you go along. Practically, Calvinball but with cards. This needs to happen.

Already something kind of like that.

It's called Fluxx, and it's brilliant.

Ah, Yu-Gi-Oh. I still play, every 2nd sunday at a friends house. Got Morphtronic Boomboxen once, for like 2nd place. I mostly use my Offensive-Counter Warrior deck. I like trap cards

Oh nice! That sounds pretty fun.

I usually play what I'm calling either the Lava Inquisition, or Lavananigans. It's...pretty crack-ish. But hey, it works.

Warrior decks are pretty nasty, like X-Sabers, and a good portion of Amazoness decks...

    But yes, traps are lulzy.

I rarely play, but when I do I always go for that exodia deck with magical library and day of peace.

Does anybody even use that card that came out in the GX anime? You know, the one that let you use the Exodia Pieces from the graveyard?

I'm pretty sure Exodia Necross was in the original series, not just GX. Some people probably use it, but I haven't seen it around recently.

I've actually seen only one deck that used it IRL, and it wasn't really good.

But this was before Lightsworn, Foolish Burial, and other milling whatnot.

And yes, Exodia Necross was used originally by Kaiba's father in the virtual reality arc. Never really watched GX, so I can't say for sure one way or another if Necross was used.

It was, right before they premeturally ended the dub. I really wish that they had done the final episode where Jaiden ACTUALLY fights Yugi, and then Jaiden (re)-learns the meaning of frien... I, I mean dueling! Yeah.

    OK, so

My Lavananigans are finally ready to start trying to troll regionals.

I have everything I need, and I am very pleased with how it's turning out :3

I was really into Yugioh a while ago, though I mainly just played decks that were fun and cheap since the game is enough of a moneysink without going into the more expensive cards. My favorite one has got to be a Batteryman deck that I used to run.

I've never played with anyone who wasn't related to me, so I am shamefully bad, but I really want to make a decent Lightsworn deck. Hmm.

You know that new Light/Dark dragon deck they just came out with? It has an OK starting Lightsworn engine, adn with the Ra Yellow megapacks, you should be able to get a couple Judgement Dragons no problem. The only thing that would probably give you trouble would be Wulf and maybe Aurkus, and Wulf is a bit difficult to track down.

Not really sure how Lightsworn run exactly though, as I've never really ran them, nor have I had man matches against them, so I could be completely wrong.

    EDIT:

RE Batteryman decks: Those things are amazing. I love them to pieces, and I plan to make one for the lulz to troll people with.

Re: The Yu-Gi-Oh Thread, Because There Isn't Another One (I Checked)

So I'm gonna use Call of the Haunted to bring this topic back from the Graveyard, now with a couple new deck ideas I've been playing a LOT recently. First being what I call Divine Eye Lazers. It's basically based around Shinato, King of a Higher Plane and chaos stuffs. I personally love it, as it works fantastic most of the time. And the second one is more of just in the planning stage at the moment, but Zombies On Fire (Laval Zombies) is another one I'm planning on at least testing on Dueling Network.

The other deck I call Beetlejuice and it's Chaos Zombie Control. It works OK for the most part, still needs some tweaking here and there, but I like how it's working so far.

That and I still need two Forbidden Chalice for my Dimensional Eatos deck, because Veilers don't work worth shit when you run three Macro Cosmos, and two Banisher of the Radiance.

e: ah, just saw that this thread was necro'd. My sadface is now redacted. You may now sadface for me having made a thread after you.

    e. e.: everybody come and join the DN memberlist on my thread! /shameless advertising

    e. e. cummings: nah, we just have to decide which thread is better. Somehow. Unless a mod could merge both? But I doubt a mod would go out of the way for two silly insignificant YGO threads. Anyways point is nobody from there ever plays DN so whatever, do what you want. I'm personally out of touch with the metagame now, having not played for like two months maybe, but I am very happy that the new Mecha Phantom Beasts finally came out.

I'm on DN sometimes, actually. And I can think of only one way settle this once and for all which thread is better.

    Cage match.

Or we could just kind of coexist, that's cool too.

And the meta can go choke on an oblong meat product, I just play what I want because it's fun.

I'm pretty much exactly the same way. I have like a ton of really dumb decks.

Yes, but I imagine you don't come up with them via absurd names that you think of and say "Huh, I can make a deck out of that"

I have gotten so many ideas just from random phrases you have no idea :/

But yeah, I don't like the meta, so I'm trying to find ways around it because seriously, it's hilarious making some people frustrated to the point of quitting because they can't seem to be able to do anything. I just like control builds, I guess.
